Yes. Chop or the chopper is Josh or Joshua Towbin also know as Towbin automotive group or prestige.

Lol planter?I'm part of the illuminati also, lol..... I don't post anything usually, but I'm just sharing my experience, which was a good one. If you would like me to agree with your opinion, then I guess I'm on the wrong forum. The only way to experience it for yourself is to go there, you always have the option of shopping the other Jeep stores, I'm just bias to this one cause I had a great experience there. Good luck!

I dont think anyone was questioning your experience. I thought the thread was interesting. Someone put a call out for recommendations for a dealer. There are apparently two in your area, one appears to have a lot of negative comments, the other a lot fewer. The sales manager is trying to do some damage control. It would be interesting for a forum member who is currently looking for a jeep to go to both places and relay the experiences, based on rennis post comments to correct issues that were noted. The next person in the door should get a smokin deal.

So i went up to Prestige to look around. I did some searching online first to get some pricing and whatnot and i think it's interesting that the Gecko Rennie has as his avatar is listed on their site for $27,499 and on the lot its $47,999. Now i get that there's an asterisk somewhere on the page that means the price shown doesn't include add on's, but why not just post a price??

The sales guy i met might have been in sales for 10 mins, knew next to nothing regarding price, models or trim levels to the point my GF said why are we wasting our time.

i don't want to bash but i have been in Vegas over 30 years and have heard the Towbin stories for years.. there used to be a site dedicated to him and BS that goes on, i'm not sure if it's still up.. i was hoping now that he's trying to rebrand that maybe the nonsense would be behind him, but seems to still be SOP.

hopefully someone goes in and gets a smoking deal...just don't know if it will be me.

Thank you for the feed back, information like this really can really help me and my Internet team. Each day I personally find new and better ways on training my staff and assisting customers. I might make a mistake but will always make it right, my number one goal is happy customers.

A couple words for you...secret shoppers! You will need a LOT of training as let's face it car sales is 1-a tough job and 2-you hire hacks. Lol. Honestly, not trying to be mean.
Obviously the Towbins make money or they wouldn't open more shops. Then again this is a good old boy town. Makes me wonder if Carolyn ever feels bad about how Josh turned out.

I think the biggest thing is to train your staff to be honest. If you don't know about the product be honest and try to get the answers that the customer needs. Selling a Jeep is not like selling a kia. Jeep attract a certain crowd and has a very loyal following. Unlike a people that buy kia's, a majority of Jeep owners get together and go on trail rides. We talk and share our experiences. Word of mouth travels way better than some dork dressed up in a goofy outfit.

Your whole staff does not need to be trained on every detail of every Jeep, it would not be cost effective with your high turn over rate. Yes I know that you have a very high turnover rate on your sales staff. I drive by your dealership at least twice a day and we stop by to look from time to time. I have never seen the same person twice. What you need is one person that is very knowledgeable on the wrangler platform. He could be the "go to guy" for questions. Chapman has one, when I started asking some of the more technical stuff our salesman was straight up and said "You sound like a very technical person, let me grab Corey he is very knowledgeable"

When we first moved here we test drove a 2010. This was right with the 2011's where coming out. One of your salesmen specifically told me that there was no difference between the 2010 and the 2011... even though the whole interior was redone, the electrical system switched over to a canbus system, and the ecu was switched to a Bosch system. When I walked past a 2 door 2011 and asked about the dash, he said that it was a 2 door only thing and that the unlimited was not swapping dashes.

Once again an honest answer would have been better than a straight lie. If you do not know something admit up to it. Later on that year I ended up buying my 2011 Rubicon from Chapman also. So your poor service cost you two separate sales from my family in less than 18 months.

Guess this is just like beating a dead horse, you guys suck, but you are good at it!!

We will continue each month to be better and better at our product, you are correct we have a huge staff with long term employees so you might see a few different faces, thats to accommodate our rapidly growing business. We are very lucky to have doubled our sales within a year, while other dealers have closed we have opened new doors and strive to get better each day, helping one customer at a time. I myself will better understand the jeep culture and the importance of a jeep buyer.

And thank you Bmoney for your positive feed back, along with negative feed back, it's also nice to get the good also. This will encourage us to help more customers in the future. BTW the gecko green jeep is one of my favorite colors.

I guess I'll have to be a dissenter, because I actually had a better experience with Prestige than with Chapman. In fairness, my initial visit to Prestige was quite unpleasant. Some cheesy salesman tried to offer a crappy deal without showing me the build sheet. He showed me some sheet, but wouldn't give me a copy. I got every line from "this is the best day of the month to buy a car" to "I'm glad you like that particular one, but someone else is on the verge of buying it, so you better act fast."

Chapman in Henderson wasn't bad, but they were not budging on price. Also, they had some advertised price on the internet (as a previous poster said, with an asterisk). When I said I would pay it, they said "Oh no, you wouldn't qualify for THAT price!" When I tried to use the Costco program through Chapman on Sahara, I got the ole bait & switch. They claimed they could only offer that discount on standing inventory and not factory orders. It was such b.s.! I confirmed with Costco that their deal DOES apply to factory orders. It ticked me off so bad that I vowed not to buy from either Chapman dealer.

So, having found a referral to Rennie at Prestige through these forums, I contacted him directly and he was very pleasant to deal with and dealt with me in a very straight-forward manner. I utilized the affiliate-rewards discount via Tread Lightly, something that Chapman didn't even want to do. In the end, I think a lot of the "ease of use", so to speak, was that I didn't deal with some newbie salesman, but rather went straight to the general manager (Rennie Roopchand), instead. He's been around the business quite awhile and knows his stuff, for sure. Seriously, if you contact him directly, you will not be disappointed.

I can honestly say I didn't have a positive experience at either dealer in Las Vegas which is the reason that we purchased from out of town. Now that we have had our jeep for six months now and I have learned a ton of information off of this forum, I will most likely give both dealers an opportunity the next time we purchase.

My one experience with Prestige was when I was ready to buy. I did a lot of research and had my information together and when my color was a few weeks out from being released I fired off an e-mail to all three dealerships. Actually, Prestige was the only one that I heard back from. But after a second e-mail clarifying some details I got, "I will email you a breakdown of the OTD price as soon as I get all the numbers from my General Manager." and I never heard back from Prestige again.

Since it was on my way to work, I ended up going to Chapman the day before my color was released. After a rough beginning with my sales person we came to an understanding that I knew more than he did about Jeeps and that he will start giving me the information that I wanted. After that it was a great experience.

As far as a quick lube service Chapman Henderson has the better set up. I honestly believe that is because they have the most room. They have a dedicated quick lube lane and 2 bays just for servicing. The cool thing is that you can see the bays from the waiting room. I generally do not even schedule the service and I just hit them up on a Friday morning. I am in and out in less than 45 minutes, I think my quickest was right at 15 minutes.

Not to knock the service department at Prestige, but they just do not have the room needed for the volume. I think the dealership was set up for maybe 1/3 of their volume. There is no flow what so ever and not enough space to park. In the morning when I drive by it always looks like chaos outside the service area. I think the dealership would be great if it was doing just Jeep, but adding all of the other Chrysler products is too much.

Salesman will be salesman and they always move around. To prove my point, the first salesman that I talked to at Prestige is now one of the sales managers at Chapman. The people do move around so you can blame some on the people and some on the dealerships ethics and practices.

Just for the record, I have not had a dealer not like the Tread Lightly discount when I brought it up. They get money back from Chrysler after the sale is completed for using the Tread Lightly discount.

Oddly enough Prestige was built by Towbin. It wasn't another dealer then them. They built it.
Dealer that I like the best in this valley is Centennial Toyota but I only deal with their Internet department. Slade, I believe is the manager there and he is really a great guy. Straight shooter and tells it as it is. Then again when I went there I had emailed him a lot and knew where I was coming from and didn't mess around. It was a nice change. I also worked with the GM and he went above and beyond on my purchase there. I can't say enough good things about them.

I was just thinking, that might have been Towbin Lexus or Infinity initially then became jeep after they shut down the one there on Sahara and they lost the Hummer franchise.
I might be wrong though.

Yes they sold Infiniti at the Centennial location and closed it 2010. Moved those brands back to Sahara. Opened the Chrysler, Jeep, dodge lot in 2011/2012. They have since sold the fancy car shop on Sahara. We bought a G37 there in late 09. No issue with the service for three years.

I had no problem there with AAA plan. Rocco Accri made some obligatory inquiries first, to make sure my exact Jeep wasn't sitting on someone's lot somewhere in america. It wasn't so we ordered one. At the time I feared their malleablility was a function of a high price? Anyway, at least I ordered exactly what I wanted, the only one of it's kind.

Going at least as high as the Sales Manager is definitely the way to go, I just haven't found a perfect way to circumvent the gauntlet of screeners.
My best luck in the past has been through the inet to get to the "Fleet Sales" manager.

Angry ALL Service is Terrible in Las Vegas

When they cleaned it up, they used such a strong chemical that it streaked all of the letters on the warning labels under the hood.

I have tried to use your dealership on several occasions and always have the same crappy results.

Oh, no! There's worse service than Chapman Sahara?

Those clowns have this weird scheduing thing where if you need something beyond a routine service they have to have a "diagnostician" and that means you have to make the appointment days earlier than you would for routine maintenance (routine service gets "cuts" in front of you in line), they have to have it in the shop for two days so you don't dare take it in on Friday because the diagnostician doesn't work on Saturday and you'll be without your ride all weekend.

I was at an impasse with the Service Manager over this and wouldn't have mentioned it again (it's elsewhere on the web) but today, in dealing with this unusual scheduling paradigm, I tried to find out if checking rack bolts, hand brake and clutch adjustment were part of routine 20,000 mi service so I'd know if I needed a diagnostician so I'd know how to do their job for them to get the service scheduled.
First, Service doesn't have its own phone # so you gotta go through the compound receptionist.
Then I had to tell my whole story to the Service receptionist, who knew nothing. She said she'd have a Service Writer call me back, but they never did.
I was looking for their phone number online because the one in the phone book is just their fax (of course!) when an online chat lady popped up and tried to waste more of my time.
By this time it was too late to live some of my paltry life so I got back with another chat lady who kept asking me my name and phone # over and over again.
Once again, just like when I bought the Jeep in the first place, no one would talk to me until I left a message that my only recourse was a government fraud investigation. The first time was a ploy, but now I'm starting to wonder if they really are fraudulent. I mean, my service is all contracted and paid in advance so now I wouldn't put it past them if putting up roadblocks is their way ripping me off.
I was on the phone with Channel 13 when the Sales Manager called me, answered my EXTREMELY simple questions, and handed me off to thier scheduler.

If you have half a day to waste, just calling, you can try Chapman Sahara for service. They don't sound quite as bad. I don't think they're interested in servicing you. Maybe Chrysler makes them have the appearance of a "Service" area.

I visited a dealership that claimed to have solved the dilemma of customers feeling the need to "climb the ladder" to get a good deal.

Everybody there was a manager. lol

Asking for the "fleet manager" sometimes ensures that you get the "here's the keys, now get out" treatment. Good luck with that.

And the dude from Prestige? Give it up, boss man.. You ain't foolin no-one here.

I bought my jeep from Prestige, and I have to say they got me in and out in under 2 1/2 hours. I got what I wanted for my trade and the monthly payment I was looking for. I also like the fact that they do business with 4 wheel parts, and no work done from 4 wheel parts will void ANY warranty. Chappman IMO, was typical dealership that heckled me to death to buy from them, and didn't have the deal or jeep I was looking for. I am very happy with the people at Prestige and will do business with them again. The true test will be when I go in for periodic service i.e. oil change! $60 is steep for an oil change, but if it includes topping off fluids, tire pressure check and a jeep wash, then I'm in!

Check out the Chrysler service contracts. I got the 4 oil change one for $59 a while back and they are good at all dealerships.

So because I like to beat a dead horse... I came across some stuff today that made me remember this post. While I can say that Bmoney here did not lie... If what I think happened, he did not disclose everything either. I am not saying that he did not buy a Jeep from prestige or that they did not give him a good deal. I honestly believe that he got a great deal on his wrangler!!!

I have come to the conclusion that Bmoney is actually Prestige's finance manger Brian Castaneda ( Prestige Chrysler Jeep Dodge | New Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram dealership in Las Vegas, NV 89149 ). Which would fully mean that Prestige was up to their usual shady stuff in this thread.

I am not saying that this is 100% true, but I am convinced of it. I know that there must be 100's of gecko green wrangler unlimited's with Rubicon take off wheels in the valley . This is proven in both his avatar and his Bio on the prestige page. But then you look at the user name Bmoney... Brian in finance . Then you consider that this guy has only made 2 post so far with both of them being in this thread .

Just seems a little too shady for my liking!!

And the icing on the cake is... I just got to use some smiley faces finally.

Glad you put your Sherlock Holmes cap on. I thought something stunk on that one, but didn't investigate like you did. Fake posts do not impress me and prefer to deal with professionals, not amateurs.

Just another reason for me or you or you or you to not to go to Prestige (not that I needed any more). Even if I broke down right in front. I'll push it home thank you.

Fool Me Once, Shame on You, Fool Me Twice, Shame on Me or as President George W. Bush said it “There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.” (though I do miss him dearly now)
