I actually thought of this post last weekend. I drove by that junk dealership last weekend and saw the gecko there. It was up for sale and 39k, this is the one with the gecko rock rings.

I do not have any animosity towards prestige other than that they screw people and lie but with that said, they are a dealership.

Of all the dealerships that I have dealt with only two stand out to me as good. One is back in Milwaukee and the other is Chapman. I have probably talked to the guys at Chapman before but I do not think they ever knew it was me. Although in hind sight they might now. I only had that one issue and I am sure it was just some guy screwing around and even though I wasn't happy about it there was no harm done.

Thanks Xodus,

We try to be as upfront and honest as possible here at Chapman Jeep in HENDERSON! As it is imposible to make everyone happy in all circumstances, we all know that it is not possible. What I do is try to make the best out of every situation. I know you through the WarMachines702 club but I don't think we have met in person. Next time you are in the area look me up. I would love to put a face with the name.

Just another reason for me or you or you or you to not to go to Prestige(not that I needed any more). Even if I broke down right in front. I'll push it home thank you.

I'll never go back to chapman or prestige

Anybody buy a Jeep from a dealer (local or non-local dealer) and wouldn't mind sharing how it went?

I went to Chapman about a month ago. I stood next to a jeep I wanted to look at and nobody wanted to help me. Finally , a girl walked up to me and asked if ive been helped. I told her "no" and she asked 3 guys walking out if they could help me. They all said "nope, we're out of here". Thats when I left. About 2 years ago, I was trying to trade in my Nissan Titan for a Miustang Mach 1. They offered me $7000 for my Titan. I told them my truck low blue booked for $14000 (my truck was flawless), they told me that the're not here to help me but to make money and pay their electical bill. That day, I went to Findlay Acura and got $14000 for my titan for a Mustang. I would never do business with Chapman.

I ended up getting my jeep from auto brokers of nevada off of decatur and 215 (s/w side of town). They were pretty nice to deal with. They had a jeep I wanted to look at and the dealer tossed me they key and told me to take her for a spin. When he realized it was low in gas, he gave me a 20 and told me to take her to the gas station and put some gas in it. The dealer never rode with me, which was kinda nice. Needless to say, I ended up getting my jeep.

Speaking of Chapman those asses put some aftermarket wheel package on my jeep after I told them not to. Long story short they said they weren't in the computer so drive off with them, there yours. Taking the bite of the hook I spend the next few weeks getting bombarded with phone calls and threats! Needless to say I returned them and got a better wheel package from discount tire. Woot! I should add this is not the one in Henderson I'm talking about, but the one on Sahara.

So far I have no problems at Prestige and because of the headaches and zero customer service of chapman my buddy has gone through I will never encourage anyone to go there.

Talking My Chapman Sahara Experience

You can look back at posts on this thread and get a pretty good idea. My gist is that Chapman Henderson is less bad than the rest.

Even with them, and for sure all the others, the tip seems to be to use some kind of buying service. I forget the name that kept coming up - something Jeep related, like a club or something. Though maybe not strictly a buying service, I think Consumer's Reports is good for buying a Jeep off the lot. They know about the dealer incentives and such that you really know where you stand when making an offer, including a few hundred$ margin for the dealer. Yeah, you have to join Consumer's Union or something, but what's $78 or whatever when you're talking about saving hundred$ or thousand$ on a $30k purchase?

I'm not sure how well Consumer's Reports works for ordering from the factory. I used AAA or Costco and went to Chapman Sahara. The deal was straightforward with no hassles (except the alarm installer, Karr, treated me like dirt). I'm not sure I got the absolutely best price ever, but I got exactly the Jeep I wanted with confidence I wasn't getting raked.

Now, if your purchase is going to be the start of a relationship, I have to warn you away from Chapman Sahara because of their bad service administration. But if you're just looking for the best purchase price, use a service and find a dealer that will honor it.

The most important thing is to know the difference between Chapman Sahara and Chapman Henderson when it comes to after-sales service.

You can always try the new jeep dealership on Sahara. One of my legal secretaries, her father runs the service department there.

03 4.0 automatic. I searched every dealership in the valley. This one has leather interior which I found odd, but its nice. Paid $8000 for it. A week later, I installed a 2.5 lift, rims, and tires. The next week, I intalled all new stereo and speakers. Next is exhaust and intake. I just cant leave anything stock...lol

Do you know if they're mod friendly? I think I have to take my girl in for possible water pump squeal, but scared of all the horror stories of getting blacklisted from unrelated mods like that Wayalife article awhile back. I know all about the magnussen act (sp), but I also have first hand experience that Vegas dealers in general aren't the most up and up...

Take it to Adams Driveshaft in Henderson if its not a warranty job. They can fix anything and do mods no horror stories. Call and ask for John. They wheel on the weekends and drive what we are driving from CJs to JKs.

I've heard good things about Adam's, but unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) it's a 2013 with only 6500 miles or so. Warranty work for me, or I'd probably tackle it myself.

Just can't stand the dealers here I've dealt with. Sigh. I just KNOW I'll be there all day, and be irritated. Makes me sad I have to feel that way about service.

The service managers name is Jerry Lingle. From what I hear mods are a big a-OK and use common sense. I also found out their prices are on average 2k less than any other dealership and good old Josh was trying to block them from opening legally. Lol. His salesman are straight hourly no commission so might be a great place to shop. No price bumps to make that extra coin or hard sale to meet their %.

I talked to a guy at work today and he said the complete opposite on the pricing issue. He went in to purchase a Ram and the price out the door was almost $200.00 per month more on a 3 year loan, than one of the other dealers in town. I would say that on any purchase it will require a little shopping around. A car dealer is a car dealer is a car dealer, they aren't in business to give cars away without making some money.

That also depends on his/her credit score and add ons. I am just saying sticker is 2k less. Or so I am told.
Monthly price is always a different story.

I do know that Sahara does advertise no market adjustments or addendums, so that would sense on the sticker pricing.

Yikes! Just moved to town and need a simple oil change and tire rotation. I'd do it myself, but I don't have access to my tools right now. I was going to use Chapman in Henderson, but these horror stories . . .

If you were in the NW there might be a few people that would help you out with that. I know there are a couple Hendertucky people here too but no names come to me at the moment.

I have mentioned before, not to start any arguements or debates, I am the Internet Sales Manager @ Chapman Jeep in HENDERSON. Thank you all that left the kind comments about the HENDERSON location. As we cannot be perfect I personally stive to be in the Jeep Department. If you need any assistance in HENDERSON look me up.
Also, not to do a commercial in the forum but as I mentioned I am the Internet Sales Manager here in HENDERSON and will beat ANY Nevada Dealers Price if you ask for me and mention the Wrangler Forum.
Once again thanks for the encouragement, see you on the trails!
