Pahrump?

Tell me about Pahrump and the wheeling in the area please. Wife and I are considering heading out that way to look for property.

Rocky Gap, Wheeler Pass, Mt Shader Trail, Wallace Canyon Loop, Lucky Strike and Grapevine Canyons Trail, Pitgosi Pass Trail, Wilson Pass Trail, Yellow Pine Mining District Trail. That is what is close all from the the book Nevada Trails Southern Region. Just Pharump so all are local. Two I have been on Rocky Gap and Wheeler Pass coming in from the las Vegas side.

Quite a bit to do out that way. Search, Lovell Canyon, Wheeler Pass, and then there are trails out towards Death Valley as well. Only 45 minutes from Vegas and there are even more trails back that way. Shouldn't have any trouble finding something to do, just as long as you aren't searching for mud, only rains a few times a year, so the mud is a little hard to find.

Big Dune

Don't forget Big Dune NW of Pahrump towards Beatty if you like sand.

I want to do some wheeling and camping near/around Pahrump. Any good spots? May want to target practice too. Thanks for input.

Checkout Lovell Canyon, I have seen people target shooting there. And for the camping, checkout Wheeler Pass, I think that there are areas back in there where you may be able to camp, don't know about target practice though.

Update... we closed on our new place today! Gotta get our stuff in Nebraska, but that should go quickly and we look forward to meeting you local wheelers and exploring Nevada.
