Rocky Gap, Lovell Canyon, return Wheeler Pass

Any one up for a long one over the next few weeks? Tentative 8-17 or 8-24. Will need to start early. Let me know if anyone is interested so we can start planning dates and time frames.

Has anybody verified that Lovell Summit road is open. I know most of the trails to the south of Kyle Canyon are still closed.

Not getting much interest in this trip! I'm not set up for an over-nighter just yet, I need to replace our 4 bedroom tent with something a little more compact as well easier to put up. Might keep it to just Rocky Gap and then explore to see if Lovell Canyon is open. I am up for Rocky Gap because I haven't taken that trail since I got the lift and tires so I want to see how it goes.

If you are still interested we can meet at the Dunkin Donuts in the shopping center just off of the 215 and west on Charleston Saturday in the AM, say 8:30, leave by 9:00. Let me know closer to the weekend if you are still interested!

When we did Wheelers Pass on Sunday a bunch of the roads going up towards the fire damage were marked closed.

Also not sure when they did it, but the filled in Wheelers Pass a bunch. I hope that those people never go over to Potato Ridge.

Back by 2:00pm should not be an issue if we are just doing Rocky Gap. See you Saturday in the AM.

Hey I'm interested for the 17th. I've never done Rocky Gap. Would a stock unlimited sport make it? Only have upgraded wheels 33x12.5x15, let me know.

There is potential for scraping the skids thru the rock garden.
