Got to look a little more. The easy ones on the big lots are pricey. Check all the other places Craigs List had a nice TJ with some lift and bumpers a lot of extras lower miles and a better price. So keep hunting if i stumble on one I will let you know.

I saw the one you linked at the Henderson chapman dealership today. I think that one has 33's and only had a dana 35 in the back. IT also has a bunch of add on aluminum do-dads. They did have several other TJ's on the lot.

A stock jeep will do a lot, more than you think. Especially with some decent quality tires with a strong sidewall.

If you are serious let me know. I am a member of Desert Wrangler jeep club sponsored by Chapman. I can get a hold of Rick from the club and see what more they can do for you with my referral. PM anytime. I would more than happy to call him. They encourage the referral.

2003 for 11k doesn't sound to bad. It looks good and it a 6 cylinder which is good. Looks stock and has not been molested or butchered. It would make a perfect build at form your not fight the previous owners problems.

That one looks like it was tow'd behind an Rv, which is not a big deal. What is weird is that it looks like the rear carpet is missing. I bought mine from Chapman, it did have some little issues, nothing big, but if I couldn't fix things myself it would have cost a few bucks.

Also, if you're dead set on buying from a dealer and you're going to trade something in, get a quote from CarMax. It will give you a second dealer opinion on what your trade in is worth. No matter what, you can get more selling it yourself.

yes and no... if you can haggle good whatever you trade in you do not have to pay taxes on. For example when I traded in my TJ they gave me $13,500. Lets say I paid $30k for the new Jeep. Instead of paying taxes on $30k, I only had to pay taxes on $16,500. Which took about $1k off of the total out the door deal. Not bad considering I had only paid $12k for my TJ the year before.

Figured i'd post what i was in the process of doing tonight. I cut the rear fenders because i was getting a log of rubbing when articulating over obstacles. I will still need to take the Jeep to the wash and clean under the fenders so i can paint under the fenders black.

Cutting the fenders on a JK looks great and it's free, well except for the plastic trim to finish the edge.

Would this be the same Willson that wheeled with Mike and me up by Gass Peak? If so, why are you getting rubbing? Did you jump up to 35's? I remember you had the 33's on the trip. Hope all is well and we will have to hit some more trails soon.

Sat is great for me. It's not really a lift more of a leveling kit so I can tuck 33s under it.
