Review the July 5th thread, there is one brewing, I am just waiting to see if it gets shifted to the 6th, since I don't have Friday off.

It's actually looking like my Harley group isn't doing anything on July 6/7. S0 I may have a Jeep pass. Heres to hoping someone wants to do something after the 5th.

Thanks. It's not quite ready for the trails yet, but it's coming along. It's been a bit of a challenge on the patience and bank account. I've had so much fun, I don't ever want to do it again! Lol

Here's a short video slideshow that shows the progress thus far on the TJ build. There's still lots to do yet, but for the most part, its all little things(no pun intended, you'll understand if you watch the video.)

Your stock Jeep is quite capable of handling most trails in the Vegas area. Check back to the Nevada thread often, someone always seems to post a weekend ride that everyone is welcome to join.

Welcome to the forum and yes your Jeep is trail ready even stock. When a trip comes up just ask a few questions and you will know if it is for you. Hang out and see what comes up.

I am down for axle swaps should be done as soon as I can get the welder to show up. I have about 30 more days to go.

Get'er done Joe. We miss that old jeep! It's funny how back east long term repairs are performed during the winter, out here the best time is in the dead of summer. Good luck getting everything finished. If you ever need a second pair of hands, I work cheap, give me a call.

The welder came by and we settled on price and what he needs to do. Drop the axles Wed get the tubes welded. The 8.8 gets the old brackets cut of and tubes smoothed. Then I will get the front installed this weekend and by next weekend I should have the 8.8 in place for him to come by and finish the spring perches and shock mounts. Some assembly required and should be back on the road early Aug. Get some comfort miles on all the work and get the brakes setup and I will be ready.

It is so hot I don't get much done each day only good for about 4 hours so its getting there.

I am getting the itch to go out somewhere but it will come soon enough.

Got most of the welding and cutting done. It is install all the way for the D30 up front and then mock up the rear tack it in place. Paint assemble. Still a lot of work but we are getting there.

I figured that you guys would get a kick out of this. To give them credit it is correct on their website, however it has been on their lot like this for at least 2 days. If this was at a kia or honda dealership I could understand, but not at a Jeep dealership.

Finished the front end today. It is taking awhile the heat sucks and I am getting old and slow. Just have to do an alignment and test drive it then pull the rear. See how my body feels in the morning hope to have the new rear mocked up for welding by the end of the week so I can maybe final install next weekend. Getting a lot of Jeep work in on Furlough Fridays. Gives me an extra day to recover for work on Monday.

I see Wheeler Pass on Sunday have a great trip always a good ride.
