I see Wheeler Pass on Sunday have a great trip always a good ride.
Sorry for the dumb question, but what work did you to ti the front axle? And what are you doing to the rear?

Re-gear from 4:10 to 4:88. Rear will be an 8.8.

Found a donor D30 cheap so took both down to Adams master kit gears and lockers.

Here are some Poser Shots of where I am during the week. Not venturing too far from pavement, just in case I have to walk back to Tonopah.

Quiet out there everyone must be busy.

I am still a couple weeks away from my summer build finale. Front is done waiting on steering parts. Brake upgrade is almost done waiting on a proportioning valve for disc brakes. The rear is in and all mocked just need the welder to come by and tack the mounts. Then remove it finish the welding paint and reassemble.

So far so good. Got lucky bending brake lines and getting all the 8.8 stuff installed. It is a lot more than just a bolt in mod. So it has been fun but taking a long time. I am ready to get back on the road.

Finally got the rear installed. Brought home the drive-shafts today. Still working a shock bracket issue, brakes system, e-brakes and steering. Hope to make some progress this weekend, the heat has been murder but I am progressing slowly. Hopefully get some road test the end of the month. Day trip in Sep and camping trip in Sep.

It is tedious chasing parts and fabbing and modifying stuff to fit. I can see the end so it won't be long.

A small group of us did Rocky Gap a couple of weeks ago and it was passable. I am curious if the rain that we have been enjoying has made it more challenging. I would do it again but will be in SoCal for the long weekend. Enjoy the ride, give us an update after your trip.

Anyone want to do a trail ride somewhere this weekend? With the possible weather I don't want to do anything extreme, just get outta the city.

I would commit but brake bleed, front end alignment some odds and ends and road test. I can see the end maybe finished Saturday.

I took a trip out to see if I could find the back side trail head to canyon gap about a couple hours ago. There is some awesome mud on Lovell Canyon Rd couple of small rivers crossing the road too. I didn't go too far past the trail head to canyon gap before turning around but sure was fun! The mud out there smells of forest fire too just a warning if you don't mind the smell.
