Unknown Trail

Betcha haven't been on this this trail that departs US 160 towards Lost Cabin Springs a few miles west of the Lovell Canyon turnoff. Heading into the Spring Mountains, this trail follows the wash then steeply climbs the ridge dropping very steeply into Lovell Canyon at the group campground.

This trail is narrow, rocky, washed out, steep, off camber, and has a very short waterfall climb. There is an old cattle line camp shack to explore up a dead end sideroad, and a geocache is nearby. (The cache is described as "Huff & Puff" as the directions say it's a very difficult hike up the trail from Lovell Canyon). I doubt you could climb the drop-off without lockers or a winch as it's very loose. Very doable with lockers as seen at end of video.

This was recently an ATV/cycle trail, but is open to all vehicles according to the MVUM (USFS Motor Vehicle Use Map) and is traversable. I named it Drop-Off...
