Tahuya. Just take the ferry to Bremerton, and get onto highway 3 and head out towards Belfair. Its a pretty good trail, even for beginners. If you have a Carb though, better know how to run it. Some of those inclines are rough. I have a 3" lift and did alright on it, but the inclines got me. Sorry, my rig isnt ready to go back out there. Here is the local forum for Washington. • Index page. and here is the link to local trails. Trail Maps. Hope this helps.

I'm new to jeeping in Seattle as well. I have been out to Tahuay before in my S10 Blazer, but it would be much better in a jeep. Also there are some places up in Index and down in Enumclaw. Two heads are better than one so let me know if you are looking to head to the woods.

Far as legal 4x4 areas in Western washington we have

Tahuya- Bremerton

Elbe Hills- Elbe, past Eatonville

Evans Creek- past Wilkison or Buckley

Walker Valley- I believe around Everette

When it is open the Liberty area is not to far of a drive IMO from Seattle.
It is 15 minutes from Down town Cle Elum on the other side of the pass.

Also when open the Naches area is out of Enumclaw or green water for a nice wheeling/camping weekend.

If you want to meet more Local Wheelers Check out WAVJC.ORG and say hi to the Trail Nazi. Few people Live in seattle their and would be able to point ya to close places.

looks like "catalog" covered them all tahuya is the easiest one of them all its a lot of really easy stuff and then you can choose to go on some of the harder hills, there are a couple of hard rock hills but everything else is easy, im on 33's with just a limited slip in the rear and can make it through everything easily, they other places get a lot harder but you can make it through most depending on the season lol. Anymore questions let me know.
