does anyone in Washington run there jeep with no fender flares?

I took my flares off and am wondering if anyone else runs with them off? Any trouble with police?

I ran my YJ without flares and 31s for three years with no issue. That included dozens of trips cross state as well.

might be to late... but i was running no flares on my jeep and my grandpa told me it was illega l... and then a state trooper friend of mine said that none of them would care so long as its summer . but as soon as the first rain hits they will bust your balls on it. so i had mine off but instantly put them back on.

Hope this helps!

Police will be police of they want to pull you over they will I've been running my 04 tj with those stupid fake dealer plates on and the temp plate in the front instead of the back cus I took my hard top off for few days days and haven't had any trouble but I agree with Shane I think since it's summer time you might be okay till the rains come back but on the other hand my brother had an old full size bronco that was lifted and oversized tires on and he pt pulled over in Bellevue and harassed cus he didn't have flaps and all the cop said was "nice tires"

Here's the Law on it. So you can roll the dice all you want. It is illegal.

RCW 46.37.500

Fenders or splash aprons.

(1) Except as authorized under subsection (2) of this section, no person may operate any motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer that is not equipped with fenders, covers, flaps, or splash aprons adequate for minimizing the spray or splash of water or mud from the roadway to the rear of the vehicle. All such devices shall be as wide as the tires behind which they are mounted and extend downward at least to the center of the axle.

(2) A motor vehicle that is not less than forty years old or a street rod vehicle that is owned and operated primarily as a collector's item need not be equipped with fenders when the vehicle is used and driven during fair weather on well-maintained, hard-surfaced roads.
[1999 c 58 § 2; 1988 c 15 § 2; 1977 ex.s. c 355 § 41; 1961 c 12 § 46.37.500. Prior: 1947 c 200 § 3, part; 1937 c 189 § 44, part; Rem. Supp. 1947 § 6360-44, part. Formerly RCW 46.36.130 (second paragraph).]

I'm impressed that someone actually found what they were looking for in the RCW. I never find what I'm looking for.
