Sounds good to me. I am dropping my jeep off this week to finally have some routine work done and pick it up Friday. Evans will be a great test out place lol.
How rough is Evans? I have never been out there and I'm not looking to get body damage. I have a 2 door JK with 2.5 inch lift, 35s, c-gussets, front bumper and sliders. Would I be fine? Is there a way around some of the gnarlier stuff?
Yeah. It's only 5 bucks per day, per vehicle, and you can buy an annual one for under 40 bucks I think.
The 5 bucks goes to clean up and all that, getting caught without one is a big fine.
Cool, we'll figure out just where to meet on the way. We'll stop in Burnett (town's about 50 yards long) and grab gas, beverages, ice, gas and the passes. It's only a bit over 10 miles after that.
I usually leave my doors and top on for the drive up. There's a 7 mile long gravel road that can be pretty dusty. I bring bicycle locks and lock my doors to a post in the campground, which has a lot of traffic so stuff stays safe on a weekend in the daytime.
And make sure you get one. The Park Rangers are very prevalent there. I have passed them on the trials at least 2 or 3 times every time we go. And they will not pull any punches. They run the trails with county sheriffs on quads.
What time do you guys usually leave the trails? I would need to leave by 3 ot 330pm. Would it be easy to find my way out if the group is staying longer?
Been great Bob, busy just had another daughter that's 3 months old now. My jeep has been sitting on a frame stand for months waiting to start the build. I picked this Cherokee up to wheel in the mean time, but am trying to sell it now so I can get my rig finished. How have you been Bob?
Weather looks like it will be awesome! I may run doorless and topless, decisions decisions. I am meeting up with another JKU in Bellevue at the park-n-ride off se 8th around 830ish. We will caravan down to Burnett and be there around 930ish.
My Jeep is at the shop right now getting a quick look over. I know I will need an alignment but they might now have time to do it today. Might need to do some minor adjustments tomorrow.
