Evans Creek Sunday the 13th.

We can plan on meeting at 10 o'clock at the main parking lot. Sound ok?

Keep in mind that you need a trail pass that can be bought in Burnett at the gas station. I usually top off there too.

I'll be heading down 167. Anybody have a good spot for us to pull over there and meet up on the way?

Sounds good to me. I am dropping my jeep off this week to finally have some routine work done and pick it up Friday. Evans will be a great test out place lol.

How rough is Evans? I have never been out there and I'm not looking to get body damage. I have a 2 door JK with 2.5 inch lift, 35s, c-gussets, front bumper and sliders. Would I be fine? Is there a way around some of the gnarlier stuff?

You'll be fine. They've taken out the rogue trees that scrape and dent.

Yeah. It's only 5 bucks per day, per vehicle, and you can buy an annual one for under 40 bucks I think.
The 5 bucks goes to clean up and all that, getting caught without one is a big fine.

I will need to remember a trail pass... I will be coming down 405 to 167. I am down to meet up where ever. Let me know where and I will be there.

Cool, we'll figure out just where to meet on the way. We'll stop in Burnett (town's about 50 yards long) and grab gas, beverages, ice, gas and the passes. It's only a bit over 10 miles after that.

I usually leave my doors and top on for the drive up. There's a 7 mile long gravel road that can be pretty dusty. I bring bicycle locks and lock my doors to a post in the campground, which has a lot of traffic so stuff stays safe on a weekend in the daytime.

So is the trail pass something in addition to the Discovery Pass? Just trying to be clear...

Correct. You need a Discovery Pass to go to Walker Valley. Different Pass for Evans.

And make sure you get one. The Park Rangers are very prevalent there. I have passed them on the trials at least 2 or 3 times every time we go. And they will not pull any punches. They run the trails with county sheriffs on quads.

What time do you guys usually leave the trails? I would need to leave by 3 ot 330pm. Would it be easy to find my way out if the group is staying longer?

9:30 at Burnett sounds good. The gas station has a big parking lot. Google Burnett and check out the satellite view.

Had other plans for Saturday. Supposed to the women's day at Tahuya. We'll see how it all plays out I reckon.

I might try and make this. I picked up a Cherokee while my jeep is being built. I need to get out and wheel badly!

Been great Bob, busy just had another daughter that's 3 months old now. My jeep has been sitting on a frame stand for months waiting to start the build. I picked this Cherokee up to wheel in the mean time, but am trying to sell it now so I can get my rig finished. How have you been Bob?

Not bad. Still wheeling. Congrats on the kid. They are a joy. Mine are all grown but they are still my kids. Hope to see you on the trails soon.
