Yeah I went, conditions were pretty good. It rained all day Saturday, but it doesn't get too muddy up there. I wasn't able to make it to the lake, as the snow was too deep. It's not very challenging, but it sure is beautiful up there.
Not sure exactly where you are referring to. I did go up Van Epps Pass and Loop. Made it up to around 6100 feet on Van Epps to the spot where it starts to go downhill to the mining village.
I've postponed the trip to Fortune until July 16th. There are a couple of other Jeep guys going which I am tagging along. Would be nice to get a group together and head up there. Let me know if you can make it.
This weekend (Saturday) I'll be heading back to Naches; west to east. I attempted it in mid June, but the trail was still rough from the winter. Hoping it got cleared up.
I got a FB page where I post up trails I'll be visiting; I'm hoping to get a few Jeep guys and gals together to go exploring. I don't always do "Jeep" trails. I also like visiting the wildlife areas like Oak Creek, Whisky Dicks, etc... Need a high clearance/4wd vehicle, but its usually pretty easy trails...but the view is amazing and I enjoy checking out the wildlife; elk, mountain goats, deer, bears, etc.
(I did not choose the name of the group) Its open to everyone, stock or modded. lol
