Newbie here

Howdy from Enumclaw!

Just checking in here. I'm a retired firefighter and have some time on my hands now. I run a 1979 CJ5 and a 1997 TJ. The '79 is my off road Jeep and the '97 is my run around town Jeep.

I am having some real problems with my '79 CJ5. It has a 304 V-8, T-18 four speed. I am running 4:11 with a Detroit Locker in the rear. If you want to hear a horror story about the repair of this Jeep, I'll be glad to bend your ear. I need some good, serious advice regarding some repairs that are needed for the '79 CJ5. I have all the problems figured out I just need to know where and how I can get these items fixed. I have learned to stay away from Edlebrock Carbs. for off-road use. I have switched to a 470 cfm Holley Truck Avenger.

Glad to be on board here. I hope that I can contribute so that no has to go through what I am going through right now.

Welcome. Your problems that you're having. I assume they are carburation problems? Normal drivability issues or issues when you're offroading?
