PNW riders, where are you at?

I'm living in Seattle, just got a 2001 TJ 2 weeks ago, and I'm itching to take it off road! I've been riding motorcycles for the past couple years and I'm really excited about the extra two wheels on the Jeep.

Where are you all located? Are there some nice clubs in the area? It's usually not smart to head up into the woods on your own, so I'm looking for people interested in going on some trips.

Thanks folks!

I'm in Tacoma. I'm not aware of any jeep clubs around here though.

Actually Tripp is my dogs name, he is half yellow lab and half wippet. Fastest bird dog you've ever seen! Kind a nut case some times...

I'm in Lake Stevens. I have a stock 2003 Wrangler I picked up a couple years ago. Been thinking of taking it on some modest off road excursions.

I did happen to see a club a few weeks ago on the way to Stevens Pass, but not sure who they were.

There is a Boeing Jeep club as well that I believe welcome non-Boeing members.

i just learned about wheelers of washington yesterday... 4 x 4s

not a jeep-specific club.

they have a membership meeting the first wednesday of every month (which happens to be tomorrow!)

i may go, but i have to work until 6pm... boo.

all that being said, i'd love to get together with some jeep peeps and have some adventures!!

I know I'm gonna be over there on your guys' side on St. Paddy's weekend. Heading to Walker Valley on either Friday or Saturday.

It'll be my first time out there, but if I were you I'd check out some youtube videos of it first. What I've heard is that guys with 4", 33s, and lockers claim to have trouble out there. Carnage is very likely to happen apparently, but take a look for yourself first.

West Seattle. I have a 2010 unlimited stock, so couldn't make it through the entrance to Walker Valley. My kids tell me they have a pile of boulders at the entrance, so no one can get in without rock crawling ability.
