We have about 14 inches and I wish I could send you every flake.
We are moving and this weekend was a weekend from hell.
I have a shed I needed moved. Guy emails me and tells me he can move it. Shows up about an hour late and when he did get there he was pulling a snow mobile trailer. I thought I had hired someone that had done this before. WRONG!
I ended up doing 80%+ of the work. They had no clue. Broke their come along and they had to go rent one from Sun Rentals. Then when we did finally get it loaded it wasn't straight on the trailer. That made for a messy awkward ride. They couldn't pull it out so I hooked the jeep to it and got it out and figured since it was hooked up I would pull it. Glad I did because I just about turned it over twice. I am 100% sure if this kid would of done it, it wouldn't be in my yard right now. I payed him the agreed price and finally it was over. This all started at 9 am and finally ended about 4 pm. What would of took a mover to do in 2 hours shot the whole day with these 2 guys.

Then it was back to moving the things I needed to move out of the house.
Now this week I have painting and flooring to do. Hopefully Nick can make it over to do the flooring. and I can do the painting.

This has been the worse screwed up move I have been involved with and I worked for a while with a moving company.

The snow has really made it rough. I will be so glad when it is over.

Did you get it straightened out?? Is it purrrring?

I got the flooring down. Wasn't as bad as I thought. It was cheap stuff but it does look good

no its still making the awful sound, steve has a mechanic coming over to look at it.. we pulled the oil pan off and looked at the bottom end.. checked the rod bearings, all the rod caps are tight and we have good oil pressure so we dont think its a bearing noise.. i had a 6 inch extension with socket on it fall off the oil pan and smack me in the face twice.. right under both eyes.. almost lost a freakin eye to it

we pulled off the valve cover looked over all the rockers and pushrods, listened to it run.. didnt seem like valve noise.. however the noise seemed like it was in time with the rockers.. its just very perplexing.. we tried a different starter, different oil pump.. took the belt off to rule out any accessories..

Any ideas chris on the noise? Definitely coming from the front.. maybe harmonic balancer or timing chain slap?

I'm thinking. I seriously doubt its the harmonic balancer or the timing chain.

Well, take the harmonic balancer off and start it and see if that's it. Could it be hitting something?

Also was this a rebuilt engine or a pull from a donor and straight swapped? Were any internal parts replaced when you put this in?

Pulled from a rolled 99 xj about 5 years ago.. Steve wanted it for the head so he had the head done at cylinder head service.. decked.. guides etc.. turned out the 0660 head wont replace an 0331 head. You could still see the crosshatching in the cylinder walls.. nothing was touched in the bottom end but checked over.. been told the bottom end looks beautiful. Replaced gaskets etc.. compression is steady across the board.. oil pressure is steady around 40 at idle..

I don't know man. Maybe a collapsed lifter...

You might try getting a mechanics stethoscope and try and track the source of the sound.
