lol, that would be hard to do as I drove it away from the VPC and it won't run without a turbo.

Just do it.. Make up a story that the stevedores stole it and everything needed to make it run and put it back to stock.. Sounds legit

Not far at all. I know the area NW of Troy, the Yaak area, pretty well. Gods country up there. Where abouts on the Troy side are you going? Kootenai River area?

I'm definately interested. Exploring is my thing. And I just got hooked on panning last year 4th of July weekend.

I've camped on the yaak river before... Years back my step dad and a ton of his Co workers would go out there and stay for a week. It was pretty fun

LOL thanks for asking the question Wazzu. That was a tidbit I've been wondering about as well.

Thank the rest of you for the low down on 3 rock. I found the info useful and informative as I also use mine as my DD. I've been kinda terrified to try it cuz I've seen the carnage posts, lol.

You remember where?

That area has grown alot in the last ten years, but it is still pretty remote. Its definately a "take a buddy" area. I've been up there for a week and only seen two people off the paved roads. And there are miles of old roads. Having more access to those kinds of remote areas was a primary reason I got a jeep, even though more and more areas like that seem to to closing up.

First one is last fall the week I got it. The second was this afternoon after I took the diamond plate off to black it out.

Nice man! Very nice.
Are you running a lift kit or super heavy duty leaves? Did you undercoat the frame?

I'm sprung over with wagoneer 7 leaf packs front and rear. The frame was already coated when I got it, its a very thick heavy duty undercoating.. Almost rubbery when you try to grind down to bare metal

They look super heavy duty. Does it ride stiff?

Yes I want more lift. But I want to balance load capacity with height. I've got add a leaf kits coming this week (and jerry can holders) so I can see if I can get a little height and a little more load carrying capacity without sagging the springs. I don't have high hopes with the add a leaf, but they're cheap enough to take a gamble on. My understanding, is that with a cheaper 4" leaf spring lift kit doesn't have the weight carrying capacity because they are designed for more travel and the weight keeps them depressed.

Great to see another YJ on the team!! Don't worry; we'll get you out there and show you the ropes, and soon enough you'll be embarrassing all the TJs and JKs like a veteran.

Thanks Mitch! I am looking forward to it.

What part of town are you in? And what year is yours? Mines a '92.

Nice to see another set of square eyes. GF says I have moments of "irrational exhuberance" when I see another one on the road. YJ peeps just seem to have more passion and enthusiasm.
