Holy heck! My jeep does not like to pass any gas stations! Thing gets horrible mileage in town, does worse than my 8400lb pickup. Highway is decent though. Thought I read somewhere about an easy tank swap?

Lol well no. And I don't plan on putting any money into these axles as I'll be changing them out eventually. I'd say 12-14 in town depending and 17-18 hwy. I'd rather throw a little money away in mpg's than bother with regearing. It just seems crazy to me to drive 4 to 5 places in town trip to the valley and whatnot then all of a sudden I'm at a half tank.

Mine with the original motor got about 12 town or highway. 5.2 is a lot better already even not running correctly.

The thing to think about is the 302 and 318 are able to push a fs truck around at 12 to 14mpg. These little jeeps are light as fvck comparatively.

SO! just ordered: waggy springs, one set(since the jy never seems to have them ) perches, some 17" wheels (5on5.5), 1 ton steering stuff, some spicer 760x's, a 231 wide chain kit, and super short sye kit from jp conversions, a transmission adapter, and a few misc little things. Holy god. lol. the wife is complaining now! and i still have to order my true hi9 center section. when will the madness end?
