I can see that. I mean, there have been plenty of times ive gone, "man, I wish I had an auto so the jeep could pick the wrong gear for this hill climb instead of just picking the right gear myself." Or, "man, I sure with I didnt have to learn the badass practice of heal toe to climb this rock."

I've witnessed an auto tranny in an xj that kept upshifting, inevitability preventing the driver from making forward progression up a sketchy hill.. then spent 4 hours hand winching him up the damn hill..

Auto's are good for drinking coffee on the way to work. I like my manuals.

Well considering my v8 swap could have been much cheaper and quicker, and easier just using the auto that was attached, I still went for the 5 speed. Autos have their good points, and spots they shine but so do manuals. I prefer manual.

Replace it. If oil can get out water can get in.

Have you read the article in petersens that clearly states we have better wheeling here than in moab?

That personal preference. Just like snorkels and tranny's. If the wheeling here is so much better than why are there 3 jeep jamboree dates in southern Utah and northern az. And none in the pacific northwest? The closest two are the rubicon and mid Montana.

I think Moab would be a blast even if it's not "better" it's different and has new things

Over hyped probably. I like when wheeling spots aren't well known. It's what gets areas shut down. Especially with the libtard half of the state that thinks they know best for the whole state

And moab can facilitate a billion jeeps at once. Most of the trails here if u have more than 4 jeeps on it it gets annoying and dangerous.

Moab over hyped? CMon nick really? We're talking one of the most versatile and largest pieces of public land open to offroaders of all budgets and skill levels, in the country.

There ya go, that's the right mentality. That's there is what wheeling is all about.

Looking at pictures it strikes me the same as Johnson valley. Ive been to jc. Its cool, and I remember going "man itd be cool to wheel here." But id hardly make a special trip, esp vause my jeep is exhausting on the freeway. They are the kind of places you go just to say you've been.

Unless its already setup for high steer and all that im gonna have to pass for now. In the middle of moving, then i got to get the boat ready for the season and chewelah bogs are in two weeks. So basically i have no time to deal with it for at least a soid month.
