Okay so this Friday we plan to meet up next to my work at around 4pm, the address is near16383 e. Euclid ave. You'll see my red jeep in the parking lot.

So I figure there will be some who run late, so I dont actually anticipate leaving until around 5.

Please let me know if you plan to come so we can wait for you.

Most likely. Had that on the ole YJ but had also sheared off the rear output shaft as well.

Its a tight creek bed that has some gnarly rocks at the beginning... some other rock obstacles and waterfalls throughout and at the top is an old mining area

I just had to do my tcase chain, the 4:1 low abuse was too much for it.. Luke got me a wide chain kit for my bday and I threw it in this past weekend. Wouldnt have been able to go wheeling without it, popping line a mother under any kind of load

My YJ did that WITH the wider chain and gears.

I've decided that I'm going to try and retire at Fairchild.

Hey there. I'm doing a bit of research on some trails up north in your area. I got a wedding to go to on the 27th of july and my folks are getting a cabin on spirit lake that week. I'm going to be driving my jeep up and be there the 25-28th. I would like to run a trail the Friday the 26th.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Not too familiar with spirit lake, but square eyes and maybe pengintamer will know areas up that way. I know Farragut state park is nearby and there are trails there.

If I remember right it had a couple thousand miles on it. My problem was the amount of ponies under the hood. It was fine for a number of years but eventually it started snapping(skipping a tooth). Then it got to the point where it did it no matter how much I babied it. Just needed to get an Atlas or a modded D300.

The JK was the only body style jeep over here. I'm sure by the time I retire my jeep situation will be quite different. My end goal is a 97-98 TJ body sitting on a same year Dodge 3/4 ton or 1 ton rolling chassis with the 12 valve sitting under the hood.

That's what I'm sayin'. Think I'll end up going this route unless I find a great deal on a 4BT.
