So I'm thinking a RIPP supercharger is a must for the JK. Anyone hear anything good our bad from actual users?

$4000 for 100HP. I'm sorry, but that's downright laughable. There's a hell of a lot I could do to a Jeep for that much money and make it twice maybe three times as capable. I'd be looking towards suspension, tires, gears, lockers, winch, and armor long before a supercharger.

x2

Honestly when will you need 100 more HP? i know superchargers are good for adding power to the low end, but like Mitch said for 4k you can pull off a lot of other mods with that kind of cash!

So, um yeah. I did a bit more research and this route is a 6 day trip. That's about 100 miles of off-roading per day. If we were able to average 15-20mph that's 5-6.6 hrs per day driving plus stopping for pictures, obstacles, potential breakdowns, food, and gas. So we would be looking at this being possibly an 8 day event. 1 day to get to the start, the 6 day trip and 1 day to get home again.

This will definitely take some planning well in advance. They say it is usually snow free July through September. I'd shoot for an August run. Unless a miracle happens I don't see me making a trip like that this year.

I'd be in for the long off-road trip. That would be awesome. Anyone have a small off-roadable trailer to tow behind?

For that kinda why don't you swap a better engine in, like say a hemi or a cummins. A cummins in a jeep would be sick. You should do it :whistles:

Nick. With the amount of tread on your tires an alignment would be a waste. Just do it when you get new shoes

Well im pulling to the right a lot more than i have been, its not all the time but its annoying.. braking is a bit funny still too, i swerve a bit to left or right.. Had a tad bit of death wobble @ 40mph (very light compared to vids ive seen) didnt happen every time i was around 40 though..

Ah $#!+. Sorry Shane, haven't gotten used to your new handle yet.

Might as well swap a 5.7 hemi in there if you're willing to drop that kind green. Wouldn't have to pay for premium gas that way.

Mitch is talking about Shane having a different username from another forum. The only ones who can change usernames are Administrators and it has to be for a special reason and not juts because you don't like yours anymore. I'll double check for you and post back here tonight. I'm off to work now.

In down on 14 and 17. The 16th is the Tea Party rally at the convention center. If you consider yourself an independent come, it's free.

What would a Dana 44 with TJ brackets, Superior chromo axles, 4.56 gears, ARB locker and disc brakes be worth to you?

Thoughts? A guy offered this to me but is leaving it up to me to make the first offer on price.

Technically it'd be worth nothing to me.

If I had a TJ though that axle would be worth $1,200 easy.

Buuuuuut, I'd only offer $700.

That is exactly what I offered, and that is exactly what he countered with. I moved up to $800 and he stuck to $1200 firm. I think I will break a few shafts on my 35 before I spend $1200 on a 44. Even though an ARB would be really cool

If anyone of you guys are bored today, come on out to CDA and have a hotdog or sandwich! We are Giuseppes, The red and yellow trailer on Government way in the Cenex parking lot. All Jeepers get free soda and chips. What the hell you waiting for?

Well an 8.8 is stronger. But I would have to build one. Unless I can find a build 8.8

This 44 has TJ brackets, shafts, an ARB, and has my ratio.
Pretty much everything I want.

If I were to build a 44, it would be exactly like this one.
