Check CL too. Sometimes guys that upgrade to full widths will sell their built 8.8 for cheap. Might have to go a ways to get it, but they do pop up every now and then.

And where are you finding 8.8s for $90, DP? Both Spaldings and Bills won't let 'em go for less than $350.

Can you pick one up for me? That is cheap cheap cheap cheap. I have friends that can weld too.
TJ Wrangler Rear Axle Bracket Kit [Axle Kit-TJ] - $199.00 : Mad 4 Wheel Drive
$200 bracket kit
My friend works for ford so can get me gears @ cost.

All I need is the 8.8
If you're willing to pick me one up I'll send you a check and can have the check there in like a day.

well what are your gears? i can see if i cant find one thats already geared for you.. I'd be down to go pull one for ya, maybe get someone to go with me. They are still on the vehicle though lol..

Judging by the door codes for the rear axle, i can get you a posi 3.73 or 4.10

It was earlier when it was daylight out. John was over and I'd just finished washing the dodge and started waxing it when the snow started. :/

I haven't checked recently. I did see some lightning and hear the thunder though.

Yeah, if you can get a 4.10 posi, that would be ideal. Man I was in that meeting from 7 until whenever I called you. Then the girlfriend wanted to call and yell at me for not spending enough time with her

easy! i'm unemployed!

also i misspoke earlier when i said it was 90, 90 is for the axle assembly, then its like 40-50 for the brakes.. but still..

The explorer 8.8 is the best 8.8 you can throw in a jeep.. why would you get them from spaldings or bills?

Typically they're already pulled and waiting to be picked up. Bill's will also regear their axles for you too if you want. But for $140 you might as well deal with the PITA of pulling it yourself.

How does that work? So you pull the axle. And if you just want the axle they make you take off the brakes?

yeah, basically. they sell them independently, so if someone (like me) only needs brakes, i can just take the brakes.. if you just want the axle you can throw the brake components into the back seat of the car or just leave them in the general area where they came from under the vehicle lol..

Incorrect sir. The brakes are part of the axle assembly price. Unless they changed since we went and got the 10bolt for my old s10.

So um yeah, about that......I'm not going to be able to make it out there or anywhere. With this government shutdown thing going on I will no longer be receiving a paycheck until this whole thing gets sorted out. I don't have a whole lot saved up to live on and pay bills so I won't be going anywhere or doing anything until I start getting paid again.

It is better but for some reason very few animated .gifs work as an avatar. I tried it and it doesn't work.

The one I'm using now is animated but as you can see the animation doesn't work.
