Not correct. We have all been briefed on base that we will receive a paycheck from the 1st to the 8th and that is it until the government can reach a decision on this budget crap. Yes, we will get back paid for all the time lost but we still will have to survive on savings until then. Glad I didn't buy a house. Most of the DoD civilians on base will not be allowed to come to work on Monday unless they are mission critical (ie firemen and cops). So all the people that run and work at the BX, Commissary, Burger King, day care, at the grade school, and in all the offices around base might not be there on Monday so all those places will be closed. And they won't get back paid for the days that can't work.

Where do you live roughly? I can meet you somewhere near your place, at your place or in Airway Heights and pick you up. It doesn't matter to me. I was thinking of rolling out of my driveway on base around 9am.

I'm up on the ass end of the south hill on 57th. If you want you can meet at my place, and we can take my ricer over to save on gas. Or if you need your own rig we could meet at that Conoco on 3rd and Walnut. That's nice and 'tween.

I'll be in the Subaru and since it is new I'd rather not leave it parked around Spo-compton if I don't have to.

Is 3rd and Walnut 'tween enough for you?!?! I'll pick you up there. You've got my number still right?

I'd prefer not to leave my car around town for any length of time either. Too much $#!+ worth stealing off of it. But I can meet you there around 9:30-ish. Yeah I have your number.

I was going to ask if we needed to bring anything with and if so, what?

I'm bringing my impressive supervisory and beer-drinking skills.

Oh goody. 2 supervisors. This job is going to turn out very well.

He has the welder and a mask although I think I will bring my mask. I'm thinking I'll bring my grinder and some cutting discs too and my welding gloves. He should have the rest. I mean it's a fairly simple process. It's just going to take a while to grind off the old junk.

Oh and the angle finder. I hate to get somewhere and not be able to find any angles so it will be nice to have that on hand. And if any hotties show up they'll be able to know the angle of the dangle.

What, Levi? It's very important to be aware of what angle your driveshaft is heading into the housing at.

I heard this from Chris right before my phone died. Any chance it would arrive tomorrow?

Apparently he "knows" driveshaft lengths. He has no way of knowing what your length will be with your 350 swap in there. I wouldn't do it.

I'll give him a call. Worst case scenario they are out of Salt Lake so it's only a one day UPS. But I still won't know a spline count

this is the kit I bought. I called and he said he did not need the measurements with my jeep having a 4" lift to make the CV. He rarely gets measurements and has been 99% accurate for his customers. To me, since he does a lot of jeeps with a typical 4" lift it would be pretty easy for him.
