not going to use them for tires.. using it for my ARB locker.. probably just a 20oz tank, seeing as i wont be locking the diff very often that should last me quite a while..

Well shouldn't need much air for that..........and I'm assuming those lines lose pressure at the end of the day! Lowes sells them and pre-filled containers. Like I said comes the summer time those tanks are black and I see lots of them blow safety valves at the paintball field. At least keep them shaded

The one at Lowes will work great! Oh and keep the tank nipple up........or the liquid can bypass the reg and well..........it can get ugly. I had a reg once that supposedly prevented that.........it blew up a bunch of ABS pipe rated at 300+PSI and emptied a 20 oz cylinder in less than 3 seconds........it hurt!

Yeah......and I'd imagine theirs is pretty good since a major company is backing it. Not sure I'd want a Harbor Freight one when dealing with CO2......LOL.......The other option is to go with these guys........
Female Stabilizer [PPSP010] - $79.00 : Palmers Pursuit Shop, Where Custom Still Means Something

That's the standard reg......screws on the top......on two sides it has outputs....one to put a gauge on and one to use as an output.......the sell complete setups for tools...starting at $140! They make great stuff........and as far as I know the one I bought is the only one I've heard of failing......and I got it well used.....LOL

If you found a $20 part that regulated a 2500 PSI gas would you trust it?.......LOL
I broke a standard male air fitting nipple off on my chest when the 3" pipe hit me and the only thing that saved me was the piece of plywood I had my hands on managed to slow it down quite a bit!

co2 min blow off is at 2200 psi.. At 100% fill your looking at 120°+ till you hit that.. So yes I'd trust a 20$ regulator as any co2 bottle I'd use would be kept out of direct sun and if it were hot enough to get the inside of the jeep that hot I'd have the top off.. It doesn't get that hot in spokane lol. Plus we're talking a 20oz bottle in the back of the jeep.. Basically if a regulator is going to cost that much I'd rather save for oba and forgoe co2 all together.. I'd like to be able to fill 4 35s and I dont think a small bottle will do that. Plus as you mentioned already co2 isn't the best in tires.. If it was going to be a lot cheaper I'd do it. Can't justify 80+ for one part

You have to remember a few things......first blow off valves are inconsistent and not reliable, second it's a black tank......in direct sunlight they frequently blow off over 90 degrees, Most of the tanks are filled by idiots who don't know what they are doing, and yes the blow offs can release at 2200 if China's standards are good today.........where would that leave the other side of the reg if liquid got by it.......yes 2200PSI at which point I've watched macro line leave a 4" slice across someone's cheek up at the radar dome which required a few stitches. Trust me I fill these tanks by the 100's...........and I've done it enough to know CO2 has it's benefits and alot of downsides in the wrong scenario! I have a thermometer next to our fill station and if it get's hot I'll start leaving the tanks a little under capacity.....but realistically........it's very easy to get one over temp in direct sunlight during the Summer!

Oh there's no doubt there.......LOL Even with our high pressure air.........you can get reg creep and over pressurize the system. I've been debating keeping a scuba around for tire fills........but then i don't have it hooked to something that needs air regulated constantly. But scuba air is free of debris that causes reg failure so

Oh one other CO2 thing I forgot to mention........your putting water vapor in your axle.....and tires if you have steel rims! On the other hand should you have a fire.........LOL

Yeeaaahhhh, about that.

In the end it was kinda of a wash anyway. It was either buy a bigger $1,000 lift or buy $1,000 tube fenders (which I wanted to do anyway). They are nice though.

Yeah, they look awesome. I'm thinking about buying smittybilt corner guards for $200 and then building flares.

nah traction bar much cheaper.. plus now i have a driveshaft that isnt already rusted out.. and had prior damage to it.. the guy at watts driveline said my incident alone wasnt what caused the failure..

So we coulda had the sub box in tonight but the neighbor had to be a negative nancy about the noise level..

I'm gonna just buy some land and build a 40x80 shop that way we won't have noise complaint issues.
