haha thanks yall, im loving it. im having some death wobble issues when i hit pot holes I have a OME steering stab to put on, an alignment to get, and im gunna re torque everything. hopefully that will take care of it. It's a skyjacker 4'' lift w/ nitro shocks. It actually rides pretty decent.

Looking pretty badass, John. You might be able to make it over your favorite spot now.

I just put a new beefy OME steering stab on and tightened any bolt I touched when installing the lift. Hopefully that'll help. The bolt holding the track bar on was incredibly loose, probably being the main cause of the DW. I'm getting it aligned today, so hopefully it'll be good to go after all that.

6 inches would be pretty awesome. That's what I wanted to do until I sat down and crunched the numbers, after everything I would need it was out of my budget, plus I still have the d30/35 so I don't know how long those would hold up with 35's

quick question for everyone in here. i have a guy that is selling 15" x8 3.75 BS procomp wheels (fake bead locks)/baja claws (33x12.5x15) for $150 with trade for my set up (you all saw the ugly chrome wheels on my tj at 7 mile). His wheels are perfect and the tires have 70% on two and 40-50% on two plus a brand new spare. Is that a good deal or should i just keep my chrome wheels with practically new tires( but ugly 16x10" 4" BS wheels)...need advice from fellow jeepers

Is this the guy from craigslist selling the tires for $400? How much life is left on your tires? What kind of tires do you have? The rims sound like mine, at least from the description. Before you pull the trigger make sure to thoroughly inspect the tires for punctures or plugs, and pay special attention to bubbles on the sidewall. Also look to see how much weight was used to balance them. If it's more than 4oz on any wheel I'd stay away. I know it's a lot to look for, but any of those things could potentially cause issues. Oh and look to make sure they aren't dry rotted. I worked at discount tire for two years, so that's all from job experience lol. I hope that can help you answer your question.

the guy im getting them from works at discount tire so he balanced them and stuff. They have nothing wrong with them. No bubbling, scratches, plugs, punctures and have the correct weight for balance. He is actually just wanting to do a straight trade for my wheels

Hopefully the 15x8 3.75 BS with 33x12.5x15 will look god with my flares Picking them up tomorrow. Now once the tax return comes.....re-gearing 4.56 and disconnects

Our instructor (retired air force) said to us today, the air force is the only service that sends its officers into war, all others send their enlisted.. thought that was funny enough to share with some of you.

+3 respect for the air force

If he's worth his word than I'd do it. That's a hell of a deal actually, and your current wheels are a bit of an eyesore, and I don't think that amount of backspacing will be an issue either. Caliper/wheel problems are JK issues.

Yeah that should work out good, I'm running 3.75 backspacing right now, no rubbing!

Yep that's what we did. Damn the jeep looks so much better with the new wheels. But the baja claws are loud as heck and give a lttle vibration. Not too bad but for a straight trade for procomps, caps, and spare. I can't complain.

Set up my appointment at central4wd today to have either 4.56 or 4..88 gears put in in 3 weeks.

How much are they charging you to swap gears?

$1339. So problem with one of the rims being bent and now they cross threaded a lug bolt. And I'm in wanatchee. FML. Looks like other wheels going back on.

That's sucks dude. You could always just buy new wheels and use your old tires and then sell the chrome ones. I'd help you mount and balance them at the auto hobby shop

Ok so after the guy saw how bad 2 of the wheels were we ended up trading for the procomps he had on his jeep. They are 15x10 with some BA tires and I got to keep the spare. Plus he gave me $120 on top to cover gas for my drive. So after all was said and done this is what she looks like now. Sorry the pics were taken at a gas station but I figured id post them up and get better ones tomorrow
