God, I hope not! I don't even think they make 4" BLs. It does have some decent gap between body and frame, so at the most I'd say 3" BL. But looking at the springs they don't look stock either, too much arch and too many leaves. So it prolly has a bit of SL as well. Just call/text the guy and see if you can get all the specs on it.

I emailed him. He posted it around 5:30 today, sent an email maybe 2 hrs later? i figure i'll hear back tomorrow. Its difficult since I don't have the cash yet i'd drive down there tomorrow if i did.

There are a few jeeps i can look at in the middle of the state so it wont be a total loss if i drive there for nothing. I'm looking at 2 in moses lake, 1 is at a dealership (93), the other is private party through craigslist (95), but i dont know if he still has it as he never replied to my e-mail. Then theres another in electric city which is near coulee dam with a 6in lift (94)..

There was one in Spokane on sprague, its actually still listed for sale.. I went to go look at it 2 weeks ago or so, and they told me it was sold.. Sucked that it was gone but oh well.. So this weekend I'm back at Drill for the reserves, and a buddy of mine I haven't seen in over a year and I are talking about jeeps. I asked him if he knew of anyone selling theirs, which is when he informed me he just bought one.. I asked a little bit about it, but not much, not until later when we were eating lunch and I asked what color it was.. Long story short, he was the one who bought the one I went to look at.. pretty crazy.

YJ love

Also, i'm guestimating but is that about a 4 inch body lift?
I am from Seattle and go to school in Pullman. I agree that there are far less Jeeps in this area. But it would be worth the trip to Seattle to buy one if you're willing to go to Yakima.

97 TJ 4.0L with 92,000miles, a 4" teraflex lift, 33'' BFG ATs
Picked it up for $5,500

I looked for 3-4 months to find the right one. I'm just saying I would look longer then a few weeks to find a Jeep that I'm gong to hopefully have for a long time.

I assure you I'm not a dick. I just think it's better to wait until you can find one you really like.

1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ Lifted

Here is a TJ in Seattle. It does have high mileage on it though. But for that price with a clean TJ you can run it until the engine goes and then swap a new one in a little later.

I already know what I want in a jeep.

I6, manual, family roll cage, hard top. That has been my criteria since I started researching and looking almost a month ago. I'm dead set on a yj because they are in my budget, I really don't want to spend over 5k and i will try to keep the total under that including TTL fees.

I don't think you're a dick by the way, when i said thanks for having my back to mitch, I was meaning when he stuck up for YJs when John was bashing me for wanting one

Yeah, I was just stressing the importance of not settling and it doesn't seem like you are. I almost went with a few different YJs, but then they fell threw and I got a screaming deal on a TJ .

I wanna see some pics when you bring it home

For sure man! I've even got friends looking around for me lol. the guy e-mailed me more pictures, turns out he owns his own auto body shop in yakima and has 30 yrs experience in auto repair. he got the jeep so he could go out jeepin with his son, but had surgery on his hip and has problems getting in and out of it. his shop painted it because it had scratches and dings.. sucks that they painted it cuz whatever jeep i get im monstalining it, interior and exterior..

I think its funny i have almost 100 posts and I havent even got one yet. Been asking a lot of questions and trying to find out as much as i can before i get one. The worst feeling I've ever had besides experiencing death of someone close is buyers remorse.. i hate the feeling that I wasted money on something

Same here, I've bought 3 so far in my lifetime and haven't regretted any of them.

Me...YJ bashing?!? I would never commit such a crime. after all, the TJ's wouldn't be so awesome if they didn't learn from YJ's mistakes. . . That doesn't really help my case does it?
I'm just hatin cause I'm obligated to.

That one looks much better! 6500 is a bit steep but I'm sure they would take less, hope it works out for ya!

I offered 4500, i think i like it better, a suspension lift vs body lift.. and an added bonus it has the exact front bumper setup i want! also comes w/tow bar, which i wanted as well. The only drawback is the lack of hard top but i might be able to get a used one for semi-cheap. Its sexy

So... we're looking at 5k for it, seems pretty fair to me with all of the options above stock and the milage. They counter offered my 4500 to 5500, and i let them know what my wife was really going to let me spend (5k) and they asked me to take it for a test drive lol. So i ran a carfax and it checks out, i asked for more pictures of it too so hopefully i'll be able to see inside it.

Does 5k seem reasonable to everyone else?

Frankly $4500 is more than fair for that year with that many miles. They're trying to get out of it what was put in. People can't seem to realize that isn't how it works.

You could always take the BL off the first one, but having the 5.5" SL on the second one eliminates the work putting one in. Eh, either one looks to be in decent condition and the central Washington location means low rust.

You're just jealous 'cause there's so much more room for... "creativity" with YJs. But no worries. We all play for our own teams, and it's all in good fun. I'm just obligated to defend myself.

Well with most of the work done on it already, especially the front bumper and brush guard, which i was not looking forward to saving up for lol. He said no rust on body or frame and I will get more pictures tonight or tomorrow depending on what time he gets back from a test drive (sunlight being the issue there)

I am praying that the IRS sends me the money friday!

I would stick to the $4500 and be firm. Tell them thats your offer and call if they change their mind. Also let them know your still looking. Jeeps are sitting all over the area and not selling so I think you would stand a good chance getting it for $4500

^Agreed. Don't be afraid to sit on an offer a little white. You have plenty of options out there. I would probably not want the one with the BL. But one thing to consider is that the other one does have a RC life...they don't hold up as well as some other ones.

Angry Really disliking the irs right now :(

Oh my IRS woes grow more and more..

I went on the IRS "Wheres my refund" today, and found out that they recalculated my refund for me! Almost $700 LESS than what was anticipated! AWESOME!

I rechecked the return my wife filed, everything looked perfect! My wife got on the horn with the IRS and after a good 20+ minute conversation it turned out my non-taxable combat pay was not being included in the Earned Income Credit calculation! Sweet I knew it was correct! Only problem is now the difference they shorted me wont be included in my direct deposit this Friday.. they will be mailing it instead, which will be 3-4 weeks. Now I have to try and scrounge up that money..

Sorry, just wanted to vent and let anyone here know if they served overseas too, double check your return. The IRS admitted it was their computer that messed up the calculation.

HP rear D44 means it's a custom built axle, guys. Also, HP rears aren't as strong as LP ones, FYI.
