Transfer case output shaft.

How far over the rear transfer case out put shaft spline should the drive shaft yoke be? Mine is about two inches over the spline inside the seal. New Guy to the forum. Just got a 94 yj W/Pro Comp coil spring lift. Not installed very well I might add so will have many questions. Thanks
