100 million dollar earmark added to Bail out Bill by Obama

I was listening to Andrew Wilkow on Sirius yesterday afternoon. Apparently, Obama slid a 100 million dollar earmark into the bail out bill that will ALL go to ACORN. For those of you who don't know what ACORN is, ACORN is a left wing protest group funded by the Government. They have been caught a few times with voter fraud, registering illegal aliens and convicted felons. This is, surprise, the organization Barak Obama worked for.

I don't know how some of you feel about the bail out bill in general, and I don't think it really makes much of a difference. Weather you want the bill or not, there is NO reason why we have to give a left wing, corrupt protest group 100 million dollars on top of the already super expensive bill. I am sick and tired of people playing politics and playing the cameras with something this huge, and this important. We are talking about 700 million of OUR money, with a depression supposedly on the line, and certain people see pointing fingers as more important than correcting the problem.

Anyway, the number for the Congressional Switchboard is 866-220-0044 for those of you who don't want to give 100 million to an organization that does nothing important when a depression is supposedly on the line. Flood the phones with calls, and crash their computers with emails. It worked for the immigration bill, it can work again!

I agree, incumbents out, don't put a dem or rep in , put a independent in, maybe if we clean house for 3 or 4 elections we can clean it up a bit.

Sadly, there are still too many shepple that pay no attention at all, or at the most was good morning America / nightly news and that's it. Obviously trying to vote them out is something we all need to do, don't get me wrong, but we can't just let them get away with this stuff either. People need to start getting involved, tie up the congressional phone lines, and let them know the bill is too big, and too important to be playing "look at me" politics and adding huge earmarks.

BTW, because of the huge number of phone calls and emails already, Friday afternoon the "rogue republicans" were able to present a case to the President and Democrats in which the free market would solve the problem, rather than the govt. Again, I don't want to go into weather or not the bills are good ones, and which way we should go etc. I am just stating that to show that a phone call and a couple emails to your state/county reps really does make a difference.

That's how this mess got started. People didn't vote for someone, they voted against someone else. Don't vote against every incumbent just because they're an incumbent. Instead, look at the candidates and decide who you want in office. Look at how they stand on issues.

Okay, You show me one person worthy of my vote and I'll gladly vote FOR them. I'm saying the pork adding, earmark tagging, deal making bunch that's in there now has got to go. Period. It's the only way to tell them that we are sick of it and aren't gonna keep sending them back.

She's the kind of person we should be electing. Those without Washington ties already forged. The only problem comes in that you can't vote for her without voting for McCain as well.

I stopped voting for good candidates years ago. I can't find one. I vote for the lesser of evils. However, change for the sake of change (a platform many people seem to like) is stupid. Communism is change. A monarchy is a change. Is that what we want? I want very specific types of change as most other people do too. NO one is offering the changes I want. Once again I am left with the lesser of evils choice. The rich get richer, the poor get it all for free and the middle class pays for EVERYTHING!
