Any suggestions as to what I should do prior to hooking it up and jumping it?

I have done this to this car twice and both times it started up with no real complaints when jumped. But these two prior times were after 18 months of being parked. This time it is more like 23 months.

I have a ton of work to do to this old thing and need it to come home from where it has been parked. (Only about 5 miles from Point A to Point B. It has been in a covered carport all this time, but is filthy and dirty.)

Any ideas, like fuel stabilizer and such? Needs to be stuff I can get cheaply from AutoZone or O'Reilly...

The terms "PO" and POS" are interchangeable when referring to the guy who used to own my TJ.
