That'll teach him to shoot iron.

LOL! I went to a rural range with a buddy (USA-Ret Maj.) cuz he got voted in to be a Judge, so had to be armed. He didn't have a carry piece, so I brought some of mine...He didn't use my mouse ears at all when firing my .45! My ears were ringing even with foamy's!

I remember when I was little going to the gun range, tried taking out my ear plugs once while my dad was shooting off afew round.

I still hear bells ringing from time to time -.-

I love how in that video when the 50 cal popped off one all the dust in the area impacted.

I used to have a video of a officer training some students with a 50cal sniper rifle and it knocked hiss ass over.

Was on the bridge wings, on USS Belknap Cg-26, taking bearings, when the 50 cal opened up on a "mine". Rocked me like a Hurricane! It was 10 feet over my head, directly over me. I had sound powered phones on and the sound (through the ear pieces) had everyone else on the net ringing (not to mention me)!

The intelligence is just oozing from that vid. Did I hear it correctly that they were shooting at Iron?

F'n stoopid.... On the other hand though, I was under the impression that a 50 cal would go through 2 engine blocks, and still be lethal? Around here, you cant even shoot em unless you drive 3 hours out into the mountains, and shoot at a mountain face. Karma is a bit#$

It is a lot of fun but it goes really fast!

When we go out shooting, I always stand well behind Skeeter when he shoots his Mosin Nagant. Not because he's not safe, we take gun safety very seriously, but just because, even with muffs and/or plugs, the concussion can slap you pretty good, if you're not used to it.

Guy's lucky to be alive. I never liked firing the Barrett M82A1 from the seated position, I was always more of a fan of the prone with the 'pods extended. As for the target, shooting iron is fine with the Barrett, as long as you're using decent rounds. It doesn't happen but once in a million where the round makes it back to the firer. Nice weapon, the range looks a little suspect, though. If the guy was smart, he'd zero that beast at 600M or thereabouts to reduce the chances of ricochet.

Happiness is a Barrett M82A1 .50 caliber and a target at least a click out........

I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you with tears in my eyes, if you f**k with me, I'll kill you all.....

EXACARY
Target range appears to be WAY to close. 500/600M would be much better as the target would absorb most of the impact and the said ricochet would have lost enough velosity to not even be close to lethal by the time it got back.
