And back then we called it "Operation Overlord"

A tactical failure, but a strategic success.

More Americans died in the 24hrs of D-Day than in the Afghanistan War! The scary part is how quickly we tend forget...remember the flags, and patriotic displays of 911? And how quickly they disappeared? Now people complain about being patted down & x-rayed in an airport...
Freedom is NOT Free and it involves more than just tying a ribbon to a tree!

Yes, freedom is not free, lets not forget those that paid for our freedom. However, 911 was NOT terrorists and ALOT of PEOPLE died, lets not forget them either. Just don't be naive and believe everything the Government says about 911!!

I am the son of a WWII vet, the nephew of a Korean war vet, the brother of a Vietnam vet and a veteran of Dessert Storm myself. My family name has been in America since before America was an independent and free country.

Freedom is not free, and our freedoms are attacked everyday from our enemies both foreign and domestic. let us not ever let our guard down!!!

From this ol' vet, I thank the original post for this tribute, and I salute all those who gave some on that fateful day and most of all to those who gave all!!! THANK YOU!!!
