A pointless story

This is kinda stupid. I have had a mustache since I was in high school 29 years ago. I've never shaved it off. This morning I woke up and decided to remove it. I don't know why, I was curious what I would look like with out one and just did it. So I've been working out of town lately, long hours and I haven't been home in weeks. So I thought I'd send the wifey a pic. At first she asked a couple of times who the pic was of. After convincing her it was me she was pissed. For years she told me how much she hated the thing because mustache hairs go up her nose when we kissed. She was mad that i did it without telling her first. Then her disbelief turned to laughter. We were on the phone when she opened the pic. So after she calmed down we were just talking and every few moments she would start laughing when she looked at the pic. She said I'm having a mid life crisis. I like not having it, for the first time I ate a meal without having it in my mustache. I'm thinking of growing it back now before I get home.

She got mad at you because you did not ask permission....

There's an unwritten marrital code that you need to have spousal approval before you remove hair (facial or on top of your head), body piercings or tats. Pubic hair removal does not require pre-approval.

Roger that, it goes both ways for the men, too. Ninja-mom has advised me I am not allowed to grow my hair back, it was shaved when we met and so it shall remain. So it has been written, so shall it be done, according to her!

Ha, my dad did something like this. He had his since he was 18 and he originally grew it to look older.well a few years ago he went in to get a haircut and then came to my baseball game after getting it shaved. It surprised my mom a crap load because after 20 years of marriage she hadn't seen him with out it. The best part is he shaved it to look younger and since then he also had eye surgery, so no more glasses, that was a shock to everyone

So far the response has been to grow it back. This is from all the workers on my job site. Guys were walking right past me and asking others if I was on the job today. It was kinda cool. The wife says now I cant grow it back until she gets a look at it.

I bought my jeep 13 months back, been hooked on WF since, grew a mustache/goat for the first time in our 28 years of marriage, and my wife made the statement last week "if you wanted a midlife crisis, all you had to do was ask"
