Joe, you have disappointed no one. You will have another Jeep. It is in your blood now. I know that it is hard but be patient. One day, while trying to decide which one of your Jeeps you want to drive, you will look back and know that you made the right decision.

Thanks so much again JD for the kind words.

pfft... careful what you wish for on that one... I'm stuck trying to decide between tires that will survive my driving for one, or a battery and starter for the other... I can't sell my wife on fixing both

I do believe Joe, that you may have made it easier for me to sell my old one finally...

Well, I for one am sad for you.
I know you must be disappointed, but you have to make the decisions in your life that work for you.

I've never been that strong. I would have found a way to bite the bullet, and the Jeep would be sitting in my driveway right now. Which is why I'm completely broke for another 15 months, until MY Jeep is paid off.

Someday, I'll tell you the story of how I ended up paying somewhere near $39k for my Rubi.

It was tough, but you did the right thing. I'm sad for you, but also very proud of you.

I bought a brand new 01 Sahara and drove it for 6 years. At around 50k miles, the head cracked and destroyed the engine. I replaced the motor with a junk yard motor and since gas at that time was almost 5 bucks a gallon, I made the decision to get rid of it to save some money and traded it in towards an 06 Passat. I've learned to love the Passat, it's quick and great on gas, but I always missed my Jeep. Finally, after being Jeepless for 2.5 years, I picked up a 98 Sahara CHEAP and after owning it for less than 2 months now, I love that thing as much I loved my first Sahara. You did the right thing, and you'll own another one some day

Thanks so much for your support Kate, I came close but I have to think with my head, not my heart. My house is more important for the time being, and I need to clean up some debt.
Adding another 5 to 8K to my auto loan was more than I wanted or could handle, my heart is broken, but I will buy another Jeep someday. PM me anytime you want Kate. Thanks
