A7X Hail to the King

Anybody pick up the new Avenged Sevenfold album hail to the king? If so what do you think about it?

My thoughts on the album: I have been a big fan of A7X for a long time now. With that said I was a little dissapointed with the new album too much Metallica sound, not enough A7X.

However, with that said I don't have a problem with bands mixing up their sound a little and trying something new, I can respect that. The album def has potential just not my personal favorite. I will say it does seem to grow on me the more I listen to it.

I am still a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan tho and already have bought my tickets to go see them in Baltimore in October.

Anybody else out there a fan??

yessir. agree 100% about the metallica thing. the rev was a major influence in writing the songs, so i guess without him there they just changed it a bit. I think requiem is my favorite song on the new album and im also going to see them in Baltimore/october. \m/

Nice! Should be a good show, and I agree with you I feel the rev brought a lot of creativity to their song writing. But I am glad they are still making music.

The title song "Hail To The King" brought my attention to the album. Not their best but still badass!!!! RIP Rev!!
