AAAAAH, Stink Bugs!!!

I HATE STINK BUGS!!!! it is that time of year, and they are everywhere. the weather is nice enough to keep the doors open at the shop, but these rotten b@st@rds keep flying in and invading my space. they are even invading with the doors and windows closed. i am sooooooo sick of smelling their vile stench. if you swat, squish, vacuum or even look at them they spray their noxious odor.

Thank China, they're an introduced species. They came here in the late 90's. So far the ones we know about have not left the mid-atlantic YET, but scientists are saying this year is by FAR the worst population explosion to date.
Hopefully a cold winter will thin them out. The good thing is they are not destructive at all, they're just a nuisance. They are looking for a warm place to roost for the winter, but will not lay eggs in or on your house apparently.

I did some google research about them just yesterday.

haha...thats bad...

We've got Love Bugs.....Ugh

^^thats 2 stuck together btw...

They swarm yearly, starting right about now..i've been seeing them everywhere. If you barely hit them, they splatter. cant brush them off you clothes, cause they'll just smear. Bad for your vehicles paint, if left on for too long, their guts eat right thru the paint....they are the worst!

i always end up vacuuming their dead carcasses by accident. even when they are dead they still emit the gross odor.

AND they smell awful when they get squished, too. I have plenty of permanent scars on my car from where they've hit and I haven't cleaned them off fast enough. And I have a friend that sometimes takes his motorcycle to work, about 35 miles I think. During love bug season he comes in and spends time scraping the bugs off his helmet and jacket, and you can smell him from twenty paces. Awful stuff.

The air is thick with them now, hopefully they'll be gone by the time my Jeep gets in!

Yeah, another one of Florida's perks, love bugs.

I drove up to an intersection the other day with the top down and they were swarming like locust at the crosswalk. Of course it was the longest red light ever, and I was forced to sit there in their massive orgy while the lady next to me just stared and laughed.

You mean the bugs? Seems like everything that is crappy or unwanted comes from there.
