I'm actually a big fan of rovers but there really is no comparison between a disco and a SWB Jeep. Now the d90's and d110's that's a different story - thems bitchen! A better comparison for the disco would be the ZJ or WJ - maybe you should be doing this at Mallcrawlin.com. However, a ZJ or WJ will speed up when you press the skinny pedal .

BTW, you really should fire your builder: with 14/12 CO's and 3-links, you should get much better flex than that.

Happy Jeepin. Go away Daniel.
I dont have coil overs on my disco. and I would love to have a 90/110, but DAMN THEY ARE EXPENSIVE.. for the money A TJ would be way more worth it....Adn I dont have a builder I do it myself As I get bored easily. HAH

I think Donnie made some changes this morning and that now Supporting Members will show up in Blue when they are signed on and Admins will show up in Red. I don't know about the Moderators.

I would however like to reach out to everyone's sense of pride and not just sign up on their board to hammer them with posts. I know things might have gotten a little heated over here before I signed on this morning, but we don't really need to start any kind of board war with another group as it will just turn into a bunch of unecessary work for me in babysitting threads.

Good job finding them Red. I started but had to go to a meeting. Damn job, I wish someone would pay me to sit on the boards all day....

The one thing that bothers me on their thread is how they generalize "Jeepers" as being trash hounds. Funny thing is, I know Jeepers that do the same thing with Suzuki and Toyota drivers. Everyone with that elitist mentality blames someone else. Last summer, I followed a group of Land Rovers through Holcomb Creek. They stopped for lunch along the trail, lit a fire, left it burning and left their trash lying on the ground. We put out their fire and carted out their trash. This did not leave me thinking that all LR drivers were like that. If the guys on that board were to roll through there after that group, they would have blamed Jeepers. Arrogance annoys me.

Since my kids are on spring break, I decided to take some vacation this week. Just sitting around, making beer, wrenching on the heep, web wheeling, and wasteland war.

And I stole your IBU quote .

Yes and Brian and I will be sure to make sure you taste it. It's a very bitter brew, you won't like it .

Kind of like when a woman says; "Taste this, isn't it gross?"

I think you need to study up on your tech. The d-90 and D1 disco's are basically the same truck - just a different body and total weight. Same with the SWB RRC's.

But to "justify your purchase"??? I think you're digging, now. No way would I ever trade one of my Rovers. V8, soild axles, boxed frame.....what more do you want?

V8 - Don't need it. 200 ft. lbs. of torque off the pedal in my 4.0L with a 4:1 low range in the TCase.

Solid Axles - Got'em

Boxed Frame - Stock setup on a Wrangler.

Every vehicle has it's advantages and disadvantages. I know there are places we rock crawl where your size and weight would have me tugging you up waterfalls. There are places where my short wheel base are disadvantages and you'd be giving me a tug. As long as it's wheelin who cares what we're in. (Unless it's a H2 that will hammer tie rod ends, or a Samurai, I'm just too big for those )

Rovers dont have problems if you take care of them. The rookies have problems.

P.S. We have Leather, Dual sunroofs, Front and rear AC.

Dont get me wrong I love Jeeps they taste like chicken. They are very capable wheelers. I thought I would just post this because All I hear from my jeep buddies is that they have more front flex then any other street legal wheeler. Sorry wrong answer! With 14in travel fox shocks in the front and 12in in the rear you can only dream of the Flex!

dont forget land rovors are very top heavy
this xj shocks are 31 in. fully extended and 19 collapsted

this xj also has an RTI score of 1300
lets see what your RTI score is
my jeep scores a 1100 and thats with stock controll arms soon it should be scoring 1400 and that isnt with fox shoxs

This is kinda like walking into someone's house and telling them your kid is better than theirs. Everyone believes their kid is the best... except me, mine's a pain.

My tech is good thank you: I wasn't referring to such. How do you remove the top on a D1 without a saw? When you hose down the interior does it harm the leather?

Why else would you troll a Jeep forum? Do you think you are actually gonna convert someone? Most people here that have spent much time on the trails already know a bit about most of the off-road vehicles and still chose Jeep. Not to say its better but its what they wanted.

I want to enjoy the outdoors when I off-road. That's why I got the TJ. I have a WJ for all the bells and whistles (and a REAL V8). As much as the ammenities can be nice, there is no replacement for riding the trails in an open vehicle.

Just because everyone else got to, a little flex shot :

I read the 1st post here at work and right away I knew there would be some backlash, I commend all of you at wrangler forum for being so civil , It is the main reason I joined this forum.

I know all land rover owners are not as childish as that poster was so don't hold that aginst them.

I personally do not have much interest in how much flex a vehicle has, I bought my jeep for other reasons, and I enjoy coming here and reading the posts of all subjects from suspension mods to what kind of grab handles to buy without all the flaming.
Thx again for not getting into it with them.

You're not the sharpest tool in the shed are you? Comments like these are the reason one of your fellow discowebbers got banned and you look to be pretty close. This is not a flame friendly board. Relax, enjoy the discourse, and watch the derogatory remarks.

Um, exactly who got "butt hurt" about it? I don't believe anyone here took any of the Disco posts for anything other than what was intended. Jeepers as a group tend to not get jealous of anything other than another Jeep. I seriously doubt that anyone that saw your first post thought: "Wow, I wish I had one of those!" Sorry, but your attempt to actually upset someone failed. We all just laughed.

To claim that you got anybody worked up over any of your posts is quite arrogant.

Have a nice day!

If there's something Jeep related you'd like to add to the board then knock yourself out. Otherwise you're borderline trolling.

I really don't see the need for this thread to go any further. I believe the fun in it is gone and this may escalate into something it shouldn't.
