Android phone (My Tracks)

Sure the awesome iPhone has Jeep Tripcast App.

But i don't believe us Android peeps have an app for this type of thing.
I own an HTC Evo

So i searched a bit for a decent navigation/trip sharing app. One i found is free called My Tracks

Took a hike thru some woods locally, and it was surprisingly accurate. Also has a good bit of information, like speed, elevation, grade, lat/long. distance..

One thing i really liked about it was you can export the gpx file and email it to others..or you can even just upload it to google maps for others to view...So it would be a great tool for recording trips.

Check it out here ---> My Tracks - Android app on AppBrain

I came across it while searching and think it would come in handy for others

EDIT: And its made by Google
