any honda people here? (i love my jeep!!!)

ok so the news is i bought a 93 honda prelude with a bad engine to fix up and use as a dd so i can retire the jeep for alterations! i was on a budget and i wanted a nice car so i decided that getting one that needed a little mechanical work was fine since i can fix it. so my question since the stupid honda forum people can't help is

A. i have an h23a motor, how much is involved in the h22a vtec swap?

B. will the tranny from a 86 crx bolt up to my engine or an h22? (manual 5 speed)

C. will an 86 crx engine bolt up to my car?

thats it,i know there are some car enthusiast in here so i just figured i would ask!

I LOVE MY JEEP!!!!!!!!!

A. You would have to swap the head and ecu from a vtec prelude, and run wires for vtec. Or you might be able to find a stand alone or piggy back ecu that lets you set your own vtec engagement points.

B. Nope. The crx motor is a D-series (either d16a6, or d15b) and the prelude is an H-series. You cannot swap transmissions between series'.

C. No. There are mount kits to put an H-series motor into a chassis made for a D-series, but not the other way around. You wouldn't want to anyway.

This is true, but the first post did state that the "the stupid honda forum people can't help".

That is good info posted by chezuki. I only knew of a friend of mine who put some JSpec motor or something in a CRX and when he went to shut the hood, the valve cover hit the hood denting it. Not sure what the difference is or was, but that car was f-ng fast when he was done with it.
