Anybody else out of Power??

We had bad storms pass thru Ohio Friday evening. They knocked out the power to our area (east Central Ohio) and a good portion of the rest of the state as well. Then, Sunday evening we had another storm come thru that knocked out what was left and some people that had been turned back on. It's gettin' bad out there, stores are running out of water, ice, and essentials. Lowes, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, all ran out of generators. The Depot & Tractor Supply got genny's on Sunday morning and sold them all in an hour. (But first they marked the price up $100, the bastards) Lowes got some late Sunday but held their price.

I have been reliably informed that the power at my house will be back on the 13th, and if not then, no later than the 15th. This Sucks.

I feel for ya, I went for a week in the middle of the summer in Austin , Texas w/o power years ago when I was in college. A/C never felt so good when it came back on. Take it slow and easy.

A lot of people lost power, but not me. Chillin' in the AC all this week and thinking about the rest of you dealing with the heat.

My power never even flickered, but a lot of the people in my area lost it all of last weekend. My aunt in Southern VA is still without power. I don't think she's expected to have it back until Monday of next week.

we had the storms bad here in bmore too. today baltimore city and county summer schools still had closings due to schools without power. I feel for the folks with no power cause it has been hot here.

Just got our internet back yesterday. We were very lucky and didn't lose our power. Over 500,000 people in WV are without power from that storm.

Yeah, that storm was a bad one. It scared my wife and I enough to head to the basement with our four cats. It's the first time we've ever felt the "need" to head to the basement for any type of storm.

My friend lieutenant Dan'ed it on the front porch. I did call him an Idiot. After that we drank beer in the dark.

We wound up with our neighbor's trampoline in the backyard. It's a shame we didn't end up with the neighbor in a white t-shirt hopping up and down on it in the backyard...

I too lost power, being in Alexandria VA. Falls Church & Alex supposedly got it the worst in the area.

Saturday am I ended up using my inhaler twice and ended up having to go to a hotel for 2 days. I scrounged up most of my food and took it to work (DC, power there thank goodness!).

Power came on late Sunday afternoon, so in view of the fact that I had already paid for Sunday night, I stayed in the cool.

The WORST thing was that people have no regard for the law that states that you must stop at all nonworking lights! I nearly got rear-ended at one light when I stopped, the guy came along my left side flipping me off!!! IDIOT! I gave him a piece of what is left of my mind!

Hmmm...I wonder if that was a good idea!!!

Oh yes! We have the cutie across the street with the little kid who gets out in the pool every now and then and straddles the blow-up seahorse, which is always pleasing to the eyes. Then we have the one behind us who's always bending over in the garden in spandex pants, thong line fully visible, and don't let me forget about the hottie that just moved in next door who's been spotted jumping up and down on the trampoline from time to time.

Nope, not making any of it up.

Wait. In the first one, I'm not sure if it is the mom or kid getting out of the pool. Should I call Chris Hansen?
