I am defiantly a Jeeper. But I met a jeep owner yesterday. I am trying to sell my hardtop off of my 06 unlimited and in the add it states "2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Hardtop". A guy came by yesterday with cash-in-hand. When I show him the top he said it was too long for his jeep. I told him it was an unlimited top and asked what kind of jeep he had and his reply was "just a jeep". I just shook my head. He didn't even bring his "jeep" to get the top. Needless to say I still have it. LOL

Okay, I think I'm a Jeeper:
  • I work overtime to gey money for Jeep mods.
  • I'm doing some kind of "tinkering" on my rig almost every day.
  • I check the weather channel every day (sometimes several times daily) to see if I can run with the top/doors off.
  • I make every excuse I can to drive my Jeep and "oops where did that dirt road/puddle/hill come from.
  • I'm very conflicted between wanting to keep it clean and shiny but boy it sure looks good with a nice coat of mud on it.
  • As I drive down the road and pass a Jeep (waving of course) I'm asking myself "hmmm, what kinds of mods does he have?"
  • It seems like I live on this thing called the Jeep Wrangler Forum.
Um, ya. I'm one sick puppy.

(but I love it)

My TJ, LIL RED, does not go off road on a regular basis. It does get off road a few times a year. It doesn't have a lot of "MODS", but the ones that it does have are strictly for me and my life style.

I see my Jeep as the perfect "vehicle" (there is only one!).
It gets my butt around in the winter, even though last year was not that bad.

Yesterday I had 15 bags of Pea Gravel, and 10 Bags of Top Soil in it for the landscape project I was working in the yard.

It hauls my Kayak to places that other people have to portage or paddle for 25 minutes to an hour to get to before they can get on that water. (no boat launch or roads needed)

When I am at work I know all I need to do is glance out the window (no matter the weather) and there is LIL RED smilin' waiting for me to drive us home....or wherever.....Sunny TOP DOWN DAYS ARE A BONUS!

I purchased my first Jeep in '94 after driving them in the ARMY ten years before that.

I got LIL RED in '04, and TRU BLU ( a '12) in DEC. BLU has grab handles and mats, that's all the MODS needed for now.

I "usually" pay someone to do much more than change a bumper or light or oil in my Jeeps, I know what I am comfortable with and I enjoy seat time to wrench time.

My Jeeps are both DD and while we enjoy muddin'.........

My Jeep fits my lifestyle mud sometimes snow sometimes fishing some times, but I enjoy the most is back road cruising, top down, turn the heater on at twilight, (turn the heater off at sunrise) freedom that I always feel in a Jeep. And to me some people just don't get it.

Thumbs up! I too would like to be off road more often but instead my Jeep is a road warrior. I love it though and plan on keeping it for a long time.

I would say I'm a off road enthusiast or something of that matter, a wheeler, offroader..I don't know. While I love my TJ and plan on keeping it for a long time, I' am not a "die hard jeeper". There are a few other vehicles out there that I would love to own and build, and wheel someday...
Toyota's
Fullsize Blazers, Rams, Bronco's
Suzuki Samuri
