I have a question, where do you all go when you leave your car on the side of the highway and walk off ????
This just blows my mind.

This, and the accident (100 car pileup) in Penn has gotten me to thinking.
I am going to start carrying a pipe wrench with me in the Jeep. That way, when the highway is all jammed up, I will just remove a section of guard rail and drive around it... Jeep style...

A lot of people walked home if they were within a certain distance. Several businesses and churches opened and let people crash so they walked there.

Jeep groups, 4x4s and 4 wheelers were just out helping run people around and get them home. Random people opened their homes to strangers, took food out.

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of people out there that shouldn't have been out. Fortunately I was raised out West and grew up driving in it so I was able to help out.

I just think that the other side of the story hasn't been getting out there.

Thanks, I have heard this before, people letting leaving there cars on the side of the highway. I have always wondered where they go. I know if I am on the highway, I am no where near walking home in a storm.

I really feel for all of you back there in the ice/snow belt!
We had 85 degrees here in Phoenix today, which ties a all time record high, for this date.

I wish that I could send some of this heat and sunshine, your way!!!!!!

Bring it on Dogger....

The other thing is, unless you've been here you don't understand how hilly it is. Almost every road is some sort of hill.

It's all cleared now though.

The issue that we are having is that we haven't had any snow up in our mountains. So just like Calif, we rely on run off from our mountains to help with our water supply.

Calif is already in trouble, with lack of water. So far Arizona is O.K., but that is always subject to change!

Its all relevant, When its nice and 85 here with our tops off, you will be complaining its 120 for weeks on end. This has just been an unusually cold winter for most.By this time of year, end of feb beginning of march, I am sick of winter.

I really like the changes in the seasons, and my favorite is up next, Good ol spring. The start of warm weather.
