awesome beach rig

soooo.......we went down to the coast on memorial day weekend. we're hanging out on the beach, drinking beer, jumping waves etc. you can drive on the beach here, so you usually see some pretty sweet trucks and jeeps and such cruising around, pulling people out, etc.

so im leaning on the bed of my truck, drinking a beer when i hear a turbo whistle from a ways down. my gaze looks across the tops of trucks and i see......a radar dome? WTF? then, here comes this road grader looking thing....but its not. its got what looks like a 5 ton rockwell up front, looks like a divorced tcase, 6 wheel drive, 4 seats, a whole mess of lights, and airhorns to honk at pretty girls

i dont know wtf this thing started life as.....or how the guy even transports it on and off the island.....but its BADAZZ! i want one. new project?

When I hit the lotto I think i'm going to get a jeep, remove all the quarter panelling, hood and tailgate, entend the frame 5 ft and drop a V8 in it, then add 4 more seats for a sand dune buggy, but i'm guessing someone's already done that though....

i considered throwing myself in front of it so it would run over and kill me. just in case i were to die in some future wussy non awesome way.

but...everyone would go out and wave and stuff to the guy. hed just blow the airhorns and keep going. i havent seen it down there since then, although surely its still there? itd take a 18 wheeler to move it

my life will not be complete until i have a beach rig with radar on top......

What's the deal with reviving all these old threads? This one's over a year old......
