Back to Black ? Non Jeep

I seen alot of people here use back to black and similar products with mixed reviews. I have an Xterra that has alot of plastics parts on it (bumpers, moldings and dark gray in color). Over time they have faded. I used tire wet on them before to restore the color and it worked for a day or so. I don't want to paint them because I saw some paint jobs that have become horrendous after a little time.
Now here's the stupid question : Could back to black be used on the dark gray color. Stupid me doesn't know if its actually a black liquid/paste or if its clear like tire wet.
Thanks for the help with the dumb question. If anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate them too.

You'll have the same problems on the Xterra that Jeeps have, in that it won't be a long term fix. Just paint it, same as you would the Jeep.

I don't know it the Nissan plastics is different from the Jeep flares. Unfortunately I've seen some horrible paint jobs on the plastic. It doesn't seem to bond to well. Also its a dark gray and not black. Saw them painted black and it doesn't look good.

It's worth a shot, what's the worst that could happen? I used back to black on my four-wheeler plastics and gas tank and what not. Worked great

Thought about the heat gun too. I guess I'm just hung up on the dark gray color. I've seen the heat gun work on black but never on gray.

back to black will work for a short time, but like Linda said...its not a long term fix.

It works great for a short time though.

Heres a before of my vehicle

After back to black

And now here we are again about 6 months later. It isnt as bad as when i first got it, but still fading again and will be like the first pic shortly. If the weather cooperates for me tomorrow, i'm going to take the top off and prep it for paint and paint with Krylon Fusion in a flat black finish.
