Back to reality and its a behoch!

Hey gang!
Well, its been a long and arduous couple of months!
I had to go to Ft. Sill Oklahoma for Army training. And yes, those of you that have been there will agree that Ft. Sill is the cultural anus of the world!
So while I was there, I fell out twice while doing PT and earned a stay in the ICU both times. Turns out that I have a bad ticker.
I've been poked, prodded, pinched...everything but kissed.
They did an Echo cardiogram, a stress test and a Heart Cath on me.
The doctor says I have some damaged tissue in my heart and it probably came from the Rheumatic Fever and Scarlet fever I had as a child. And the recent physical activity has exacerbated my condition. I lost like 53 pounds while I was out there too.
The military doctors are telling me that this condition will most likely end my career. I have to wait for a Medical Board to decide my fate.
I was employed as a Recruiter with the Army National Guard...Since this illness came about and because Recruiting is fickle and is just like sales...I lost my job, because my Master Sergeant said "We need someone in the office that we can depend on"...Jesus, its not like I'm loading refrigerators on a truck by hand!...

OK so I get home and.... What a crappy 48 hours this has been!
I find out that one of my dogs died... No body told me because they didn't want me to get upset....
And then my girlfriend springs the whole "I think we need to see other people" thing on me! Turns out the little lying hose bag was seeing someone the whole time I was gone!

Oh well, we Irish celebrate when things are good and we celebrate when things are not so good... Screw it! I'm goin drinking!

Hate for you bud, ust keep on them so if they try to retire you you get a fair amount for your disability. Also be sure to take all your paperwork for every doctor visit to the VA also.

Ft. Sill...I was in that crap hole for three years. Blistering hot days with no wind in summer, freezing cold days with plenty of wind in the winter.

Sucks about the girlfriend.

I understand about the bad ticker, makes life really interesting.
Glad to see you're keeping a good outlook.

Hell...you're tellin' me! After all the crap women have put me through in the past 4 years...My ex-wife doesn't seem as bad as I thought she was. Hell, when she slept with my friends at least she had the balls to own up to it!
What the hell?! Have they all lost their minds? No kidding!
I think there is something in the freakin' water around here.
Either that or I'm just a magnet for psycho hose beasts!

Sorry to hear about the color vision... They say I'm red/green CB too..... I can see em just fine. The Ishihara color vision test isn't a fair judge of color vision (IMO)
And Thanks!

I work at a hospital, most of the doctors, and a quite a few if the nurses, are idiots, (no offense Texapple) and we are ranked VERY high on the best care list. I hav'nt been to a MD for about 4 years, and have been getting better! Seems that the DR's are really just Rx salespersons. Pay 150 per month for reflux/gurd Rx! Pay 1.50 per Quarter for Apple Cider Vineagar, which, btw, works faster, and lasts longer. Go figure. I've got a DNR, and a no Heroic Measure on file. If the silly bastards can't figure out how to turn on a light, how the hell can we trust them to make us better? I take drugs for my health and well being, Caffiene, Alcohol, Nicotine, and Asprine. With of course, a healthy dose of green vegetables, and exercise. Oh, and pepper sauce for the greens!

bruin he's talking about home remedies and living life to it's fullest making him feel better than any kind of saleman doctor that pushes the latest and greatest pills on him. I'm gonna be so glad when school starts up again for you and your hooked on phonics classes are back in session.

CAIN, you want us to hunt her down and blow up all her shit? Cavediver has been wanting to practice taking out car tires from 2500 yards with his best girl.

Adjust for windage and elevation. Test the humidity and temperature. Light breeze at about 3 knots from the West. Target aquired. Waiting for the word........

My girl never lets me down. She has no emotions or bad days. She is a perfect example of function leading form, though she is still beautiful to me. We are never apart for very long. We have a flawless relationship. She doesn't even mind that I also have another girl for shorter ranges(M24).
