bad week.....

so the past week for me has been an eventful one. last thursday i started feeling bad. left work about 2 hours early thinking i was just a little under the weather, friday woke up like i'd been hit by a freight train so i called out sick. had a fever a little over 100 called my doc and he wasnt taking any patients, they were swamped, so i gave him my symptoms and he called in some general meds for it. saturday felt even worse so i went to the doc in a box. got there soon as it opened so i didnt have to wait all day. the dr there told me i definately had the flu and she's pretty sure its the swine flu. its been pretty rampant here and the flu itself isnt as bad as the news makes it out to be, they just dont have any meds for it so ppl freak out. none the less, its still the flu and i've been miserable since it hit me. should be better by the end of the week. well in this same time, my best friend's g-ma fell, broke her ankle, and hit her head. then gell and hit her head again just two days later. i think of this woman like my g-ma, she used to take me to and from school when i was little, took care of me when i was sick. me and my friend are more like brothers than friends. so she had to have surgery this morning. well, if you havent seen the news, atlanta is under water, we've got family coming down here to stay while all that sorts out bc they're expecting at least another week of rain. and yea, we're down hill of atlanta, all that water is to make it down this way at some point, oy vey....... long week

Skeeter and I had the swine flu last spring. Took us a while to shake it, about a month before we were 100%, but you're right, it's not as bad as they make it out to be.

Feel better soon. Just take it easy, get lots of rest and lots of fluids.

I'll be keeping your G-ma, and the rest of you, in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated about G-ma, and the rest.

Jeez. I hope you feel better soon.
I've had a terrible cough for almost three weeks and had to go see the Dr twice.
Just today I went to a new Dr. & had to get four different kinds of meds and a steroid shot in the butt. I feel better already.
He told me it's not swine flu. I've missed four days of work and luckily I'm off until friday.
This is the worst I've ever felt from a cold/virus.
I couldn't imagine what swine flu would do to me. Best of wishes.

buccal swab is needed to diagnose. H1N1...but it really doesn't matter, treat it the same.

Good luck, with time this too will pass.

Best of luck to friend's G'ma.
