ACKSON, Mich. (KTLA) -- A 72-year old woman is being investigated after the discovery of the mummified remains of a man found in her home.
Police were called to the home of Linda Chase by family members of Charles Zigler who said they hadn't seem him in a while and were concerned for for his welfare.

At Chase's home, officers discovered the 67-year old man covered with blankets in a living room recliner.
According to Chase, Zigler passed away about 18 months ago.
Chase acknowledged to reporters she should have called authorities when Zigler died, but said she wasnt ready to let go and didnt want to be alone.
For more than a year after he died, Chase cleaned him, talked to him and watched NASCAR
races on TV with him, mlive.com reported.
"He just went to sleep," Chase told WILX-TV.
An autopsy determined Zigler died of natural causes -- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
-- around Christmas 2010, according to the medical examiner.
Chase called Zigler my best friend and said she could tell him anything.
She has not been arrested but is being investigated for financial fraud.
