Im putting together a playlist for my jeep that i can turn up the volume to while driving. trying to keep it rock/metal or dubstep-ish as i already have a good set of country albums. basically looking for some pretty sick songs. i have "Fire it Off - Black Label Society", "Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites - Skrillex", and a remix of Electric Feel so far.
will listen to my collection of Rise Against, Funeral For A Friend, Darkest Hour, Bullet For My Valentine, Senses Fail, The Used, etc. for more. not limited to heavy rock though! looking for all great fast-paced songs
There's a tons of great rock out there and tons to list, so manny obivous so with that said I am compelled to recomend a less obvious music option, dragon force. I don't think of them often, something I throw in ever once and awhile cause of how different there music style is and there just a blast to listen to.
2nd sucks by A day to remember, Timestretch by Bassnecatar, Ooah-heat up the night by The Glitch mob, Woot boost by Rusko, My own summer by Deftones, IMN by Mudvayne, Eyesore by Janus, Bullet with a name by Nonpoint, Sloitaire Unraveling by Mushroomhead.
These are some I have on my play-list for driving, hope there are at least a couple you like.
Well, the problem is it's such a wide open question.
For me, for the "rock/metal" portion, I would definitely have some Faith No More in there. Probably "Be Aggressive", "As the Worm Turns" and "Introduce Yourself". Of course "Epic" never goes wrong either. "We Care A Lot" is fun too.
What about Toadies? Some of it can be a little down though, but "Possum Kingdom" and "I Come from the Water" are both fun, not to mention most people can get along with those.
Rage Against the Machine has some invigorating music, but out of common courtesy I would be selective what I would be blaring, top down, in town.
Blind Faith/Traffic/Steve Winwood have excellent selections for cruising tunes.
RHCP from Blood Sugar Sex Magic have a lot of high energy songs.
There are many more, but if those above are too much for your tastes, you definitely wouldn't like my other suggestions.
SiriusXM's Octane is a great channel for hard rock. They get a good bead on great artists before they go super-uber mainstream and get ruined my record companies. It's nice to see that someone other than local radio stations that cater to soccer moms and tween-agers are searching for new talent.
