Big Buck Down!!!

My BIL took this really nice 14 point buck on Monday! Scored around 150 green. Spread was only 13 inches, though. Still a nice buck!

These are the only two pics he sent me.....

Not straight on, but it gives some perspective to size.

Taken near Des Arc, Arkansas on our club land. That's about 35-40 miles east of Little Rock.

I hate you. You just had to remind me that I don't have anywhere to hunt at.

Dang in Arkansas?! Didn't know you guys had deer like that. I have hunted in Searcy which is North of Little Rock at my grandparents a few times but never saw anything like that!

I live in Searcy!!!

We are right on the edge of the delta farmland to the south and east of us. There are some really good deer in that part of the state. We also manage the land we have for larger bucks. This is only the second buck off of our land this year. We have taken 6 does. We have made it a point to thin out the does and only take 8 pointers or larger off of this land. More mature deer means more bucks like this.

My grandparents sold their farm about 5 years ago so I haven't been there for about 6 years. Very beautiful area.

Nice buck.. Reminds me of the legendary 14 pointer that frequents my hunting grounds. He always taunts me in the off season and shows up in my yard. I can never seem to find him when the season is open though..

It's really more fun if you don't think of it as a deer, but a COMMUNIST! (Gasp!)
Did you search him for intel?

Real nice buck, wish I had time to really hunt. I don't count scraping deer off the grill hunting; which is a frequent occurance here in Maryland.

The Arkansas 2007-2008 harvest report is out. Seems that out of 169,853 deer killed last year, 2% had a sex that was "unknown". Sup wif dat???

Yea, they do, corn fed down Lancaster way. We got a couple been walking thru my backyard when I wasn't ready, the bow is now next to the kitchen window and I took the screen out. Just a matter of time...
