Okay, this peaked the medical transcriptionist's interest in me....Could be IBS. Eat some yogurt. Drink water. Stress and diet make IBS worse. And for gosh sake, please go share further details with the doc if that does not work.

Ok from a medical standpoint it could be alot of things, change in diet, something you ate, hell it could even be a change in daily routine or stress (some people deal with it in different ways). I would think it would pass but if not goto the doctor you could have a digestive disease or abnormality. I'm just a paramedic but ive gone on a few "Look at my poop" calls.

Oh jeez I thought this thread was lost in the arcives. The farting problem has reduced itself. Its back to I'd say around 3 or 4 loud farts a day.

There was a news story out of New York in the 90's. There was an overweight bedridden man. It was during winter and his apartment was closed up tight. He called 911 saying he couldn't breath. paramedics were dispatched. When they arrived there was no response to their knocks on the door. The fire dept. was called to break down the door to gain access. When they entered they couldn't breath. It turned out the man farted himself to death. He passed so much gas the air became poison. several of the responders had to be hospitalized. I actually saw this on the national news. Death by human gas was the coroners report.

ok this topic STINKS, if its that bad he should see a doctor. he could have a major heart issue, gallbladder . a trip to the doctor wont kill him, but it might save his life.
