Isn't it great that the car that two famous murderers/bank robbers were killed in has been kept in such great condition, now basically a museum piece. On the other hand, the OJ Simpson Bronco was repossessed by Hertz Rental Car (The company that owned the Bronco. Remember the OJ commercials with him jumping thru the turnstiles?) well anyway, Hertz took the Bronco back after it was done with the evidence processing, then re-assembled it back to original condition, trucked it with security to a metal recycler and had it shredded to keep anyone from trying to own a piece of "Hertz dark side". They did that also to try and hide the connection of Hertz and the OJ trial. True story.

That is supposed to be the "Real McCoy". There are around seven other copies floating around....one is the car used in the Warren Beatty/Faye Dunaway movie.

The Imperial Palace in Vegas has an amazing collection of famous cars if you haven't already seen it.

Back in the good ol' days when justice was actually served. If that were to happen now there would be a lawsuit by the family and the police officers would be fired for excessive force.

I have seen that very car. I believe. Could have been a fake I guess but it was all done up like your pics. Pretty sobering seeing all those holes in the bodywork and knowing what it must have done to the occupants. Tommy gun battles never ended well for either side.

Is that where the saying, made swiss cheese out of it came from?

We go shooting down by the river a bunch and there is a spot where people like to abandon old cars. Until they get hauled off we shoot at them. I have unloaded lots of different calibers on cars out there including 9mm/5.56 and .45. My favorite hole maker for vehicles that I own is the .50 beowulf. Man that thing leaves a mark.

Your mostly correct. They had more than a few .45 holes from the thompson machine gun from a run in shortly before their demise. The BAR was Clydes weapon of choice. The officers that took them out learned from an earlier battle how they were outmatched at longer distances with their tommy guns. In the last battle they had armed themselves with some BARs with armor piercing bullets. They also used shotguns, pistols, other rifles. They really unloaded on that car. The BAR had much better penetration than the .45 thompson. What won the day in my eyes.

I saw this car about 20 years ago at State Line casino in Nevada California border. It is probably the same one that stays around in the area. Quite impressive of the amount of bullet holes in it.
