For every day wear, I like my Ariat pull-ons. I'm not a fan of lace up boots. When I was climbing poles every day I wore loggers with a steel shank under the arch, but I don't like that much heel for walking around.

when only the best will do for your feet. there are two brands that I turn to. Buy a pair and they will last most of your life. I have several pair of danners too but they are not the quality of either of these.

I've never had any whites, but I did buy a pair of wesco climbing boots once. They outlasted most other boots I'd owned, but not enough to justify 3x the price of a pair of red wings. Mud, rocks, hydraulic oil, and miles of uneven ground will tear up any boot in time...

My ex always wore red wings. He was a union carpenter and loved the warranty.

I loved the look. They were always nice looking and I loved them.

He said walking in rebar all day didn't hurt as much and they were certainly worth the money!

Both great but Russell needs to be on that list of the best too.

And like mentioned OP depends on what you're using them for.

Love my Danner rainforests. I did pick up a set of Keen work boots just recently and so far so good. You could also look into Dr. Martens work boots also.

I love my Justin's! I had to get rid of the last pair after two years only because I was an idiot and ran over my foot with a Pallet jack. Tore the leather. The sole was perfectly fine. If I would have paid more attention to where the jack was I think they would have lasted at least 5+ years. I'll be buying another pair of Justin's for every day use as soon as I can.

Now I've got a pair of wolverine lace up steel toes from TSC. They're pretty comfortable for everyday use and I don't have to worry about my toes getting smashed at work.

I wear danner acadia uniform boots everyday. I own a pair of whites 10" smokejumpers. Whites are extremely heavy duty. They are expensive, and they are not extremely comfortable walking around on concrete for too long. Whites are the super swamper bogger of "logger" boots. They work excellent but belong off road.
